You know, I like this gun too but I hardly ever see people using it.
What are your preferred attachments?
Enable TCP/UDP port forwarding on your router for port 3659. Used to happen all the time in BF3 and it still does in BF4.
If that's the problem your having and that completely solves the issue, you need to get yourself a better router/firewall.
Is origin down ?
u saw whores should be ashamed of yourselves
The server connection issue is due to corrupted player slots and not firewall configuration. There is a lot of documentation on Reddit and the BF forums about the issue. Long story short, unless the server config reboots the box once a day, slots start to bork.
The only sure fire way to get in to an effected server is to wait for map change.
You should be ashamed of yourself that you can't figure out how to counter an extremely short range weapon when the game gives you hundreds of options. The SAW MG249 is not bugged, deal with it.
My previous rant on the subject.
Are you sure you didn't mean SRAW?? I hardly ever see anyone use the Saw these days, RPG or SRAW all the way baby.
So I just got this game.. biggest mistake ever the rubber banding is so crazy tried all kinds of server sizes modes and maps it's there in all of them, is this normal ?
He did type "saw" aka Squad Automatic Weapon aka the M249.
If he meant SRAW, the self guided missile, my point still stands. Bitching about a weapon that is not bugged is pathetic. The SRAW takes some fucking serious skill to guide, especially towards an object in 3D space such as a flying vehicles. I actually go out of my way to congratulate whoever shot me down with it.
The SRAW is not overpowered. All the non-lockon missiles can 1 shot kill a chopper be they the RPG, SMAW, SRAW, etc. It may be self guided by the user, but that doesn't mean it takes no less skill. It is not a guaranteed kill. If you are flying that low to be shot by a SRAW, it is your fault for not expecting someone to whip out a missile launcher of any kind and shoot you down. Same can be said of flying near MAA, or even a tank. If the missile at least launches within your field of view, you at least have a shot of dodging it if it isn't a lock on.
Well operating the SRAW is certainly more noble than 1-click noob crutches like stingers, but let's not go overboard. The AT4 in BFBC2 .. now that took skill, real fly-by-wire and if you missed, you missed. The SRAW basically just flies to the reticle as if it were following a laser pointer, unless the object is moving fast and you have to lead it a bit. And if you miss, well as long as you keep the reticle on the object, the missile makes a hairpin u-turn and comes back and often hits anyway. Its a little absurd. Example you fire it straight up in the air, unscope, then scope in again and point at any part of a tank it magically hits the tank from the top down.
This is a paper rock scissors game, and you should strive to treat it as such. Getting destroyed constantly by x means that you use y next time. Or call on your teammates to help.
Seriously? Is that <snip>
I really like shooting down heli's with the RPG7, nothing says "fuck you" like an unguided rocket blowing up your ride.
I also think every anti-air launcher needs a range buff of about 50%.
It's ok. I apologize also. I just get so sick of people that only want to whine and don't try anything different, and I sometimes have to vent. Sure, some of you might view those guys as tools, some of you might find them useful, I'm just trying to get people to help themselves.Sorry, didn't mean to cause a meltdown. Got to the part about "lessons from lvlcap and matimi0" and had to bail.
Here is some interesting info on setting up joysticks for this game:Having an issue in this game with my Saitek X52 Pro when it is plugged in. Essentially, if I have it plugged in, my tanks will automatically move forward. Or I will automatically shoot, or won't be able to sprint. Disconnecting cuts my audio volume in half until I quit the game. This used to happen in BF3, but went away. It was not a problem in BF4 until a few weeks ago for me.
It is not the biggest issue, but having to constantly plug/unplug it is annoying. And a pain if I forget and load up BF4 as I dump a magazine on spawn, then unplug it, and then quit and rejoin to fix my sound. Or load up a flight sim, host a server, and realize it is not plugged in and then have to quit that, plug it in, and then reload it.
Does anyone know if there is a work around for this? Obviously I don't use it for BF4, but I would like to keep it plugged in 24/7 as I have for years.

LOL. Stinger = 350m, IGLA = 450m. So you propose Stinger = 525m, IGLA = 675m? And ofcourse that's 360 degrees so it would be Stinger = 1050m diameter, IGLA = 1350m diameter. Essentially a lone Engi anywhere near the middle of the map becomes a no-fly dome for the entire map when factoring a lot of the maps are only 1200m-1300m or so from base to base. SMH.
Fact of the matter is AA is strongest its ever been in any Battlefield game, and its as Easy Mode as its ever been - what with crap like MBT-LAW, Staff Shell, and worst of all Active Radar Missiles that have infinite range and can be spammed base to base with only a LMB click in a vague direction, they automagically do the rest and are almost impossible not to be hit by and flipped over and crashed. Even DICE finally acknowledged there's an imbalance and corrections are coming.
I don't think any balancing is needed. Just fix the damn bugs and I'm good.

Played for like 4-5 hours today it's a fun game once you figure out the maps....then you have the guys who totally have the maps figured out set up camp on top of a roof and sniper everyone =) I love the boats in the game though they are just fun I don't like to drive though I can't fly worth a darn either yet....
Not sure if I'll pick up the DLCs though.... unless dice pulls out something really different..
You do you fly in 3rd person is that a option?

To use the analog throttle if you got one on your stick, there is a fix somewhere.
-EDIT- Found it:
http://4x.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/1pkwo7/bf4_joystick_throttle_issue/
So ensure the throttle is at 50%. Will try that next time.
switch rudder controls with roll and reverse pitch up and down on Helos and Jets and you'll have better controls then a flight stick can provide you in BF4. This game is not made for stick flight and it shows.
