NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

It doesn't mater if small changes have been made since that render, and it doesn't really mater if the R9 290x or water blocks were available or not because all reference video card PCBs are the same height meaning most water blocks are the same height as well, Its pretty obvious you need to use 90 Degree fittings or the hoses will hit the side bracket, Also you can pick up a frozenq Reservoir so who cares about the one in the render.
Ah your problem was with the fittings. I didn't get that from your post. My issue is because some 90° fittings might be be wider than will fit because it only has a millimeter or two.

All full cover blocks will fit as long as the PCB hasn't been changed from its reference design.
Necere already mentioned multiple times this is not the case. Read the last few pages.

Yer i'm using a EK-FC780 GTX Ti so it has the normal fitting mounts that poke out, For fitting i wouldn't worry as all of them are the same size on the end that screws into the block only the side that takes the tube changes, Some do have the screw in ends when others are fixed but its not likely they will over hang the block.

If your talking about compression fittings on the tubing side i know they hit the rad.

Thanks again Necere and wahaha360 for helping me to round out my SFF family :D

Just for a reference people looking at using EK blocks the mounts stick out 25mm thats gives you around 10mm clearance.

No matter which option you choose to believe, if any, they all get your package to Amsterdam before Feb 1. You have to depart Kaohsiung Dec 30 or later to to get into Feb arrivals.

Excellent! Thanks for the information - sorry again to doubt

0086 recieved in Fburg VA today. Was hopin for 420, but guess 86'n others is till like smoke'em.

The etymology of the term 86'd, "to be kicked out" traces back to prohibition-era raids on speakeasies, according to folklore.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chumley%27s

86 and 420 are very interesting numerics in american culture, with varied stories explaining their origins. Both were born during a time when each illicit substance (drinking/smoking) was outlawed in the US. Different, but very similar.

So in honor of #86, you must drink some whiskey in remembrance of both prohibitions.. cheers! ;)

So they are delivering #26 shipments (which came through NJ) in VA but I still haven't gotten mine in MD. How is that supposed to make sense. I hate all postal services lol.

#0175 arrived in London, ON yesterday. The top panel was scratched but my NO-ODD panel is fine and I don't care about the ODD panel ;)

The case is absolutely beautiful. <3

How do I know what cargo ship number my shipment is from? I'm from Chicago and I didn't order any priority or anything?

Neither Hashmantis nor Zombeezy have ever said whether they were #26 or #25 (at least not that I could find here, or in the spreadsheet) and nobody has definitively said they've received a #26 delivery outside of New Jersey and New York, yet.

Though, this would be a really late delivery for VA from #25.

Great news that people are starting to receive theirs from ship #26. Hopefully mine will get here to GA next week. And to add to that excellent timing, the PP05-E cables that I ordered while they were out of stock at amazon, actually shipped today and will be here Tuesday! Should make the build a good bit easier.

Are you going to be changing the lengths of the cables as they will be to long, Thats what im planing to do.

They 24 pin seems to be the only one longer.

probably has been discussed before, but anyone considering cutting the tubes of one of those aio liquid coolers the make the tubes shorter? i have an h100 lying around, but i don't like the idea of curling and twisting them around so it will fit inside i figure i could cut them shorter and reassemble it. but not really sure how to go about doing that. the tubing is some kind of stiff plastic-looking stuff, so maybe i'd have to replace the entire tubing?

Don't know how you could shorten the H100. Once you cut the tubing how would you fill it up again?

A lot of people have the H220 which can have its tubing cut; the block and radiator have clamps for reattachment and the radiator has a fill port.

You can't shorten them because there no way to refill those units as corsair fills them up though the water block.

Has anyone with dispatch 26 seen a tracking update on USPS?, or the postserv link? http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1040475227&postcount=8642

I've read a few mentions of 'out for delivery' but haven't seen it land according to usps.......

#26, and still no updates at either USPS or iPost since it left TW.

Big boat, and a lot of stuff to go through? Though, it would make sense for the majority of the M1's to be packed together and leave the boat around the same time.

Or.. tracking number is just kinda useless, and some of us will miss deliveries and hopefully be able to pick it up at a post office? Not sure how that works, being on a rural route.. there are post offices nearby, but none that ever keep my mail.. ever. And is "priority mail international parcels" even delivered by USPS? Or UPS, FedEx, DHL, ninjas disguised as Santa?

Or.. take 2 weeks vacation to sit on the porch and look for random delivery ninja? :D

Mine was USPS and I missed delivery (they left a "come pick it up at the PO" notice). No ninja battles required ;)

A question for Necere will compression fittings like the ones in the picture below fit? looking at the barb and compression fittings next to each other there not much difference in size, I know there are some that have a larger cap.

I'll be looking into shortening my H220, depending on how much new coolant is. I'm kinda on a budget for the new year now so we'll see how crazy packing the original tubing in is.

My next video card will have a water block so if I can hold off until my GTX680 is considered crap, I'll only have to deal with re-filling once.

Yup, replacing the tubing is the "easiest" option, but bleeding them afterwards is a PITA! You'll also have to consider liquid choice. I tried running short clear tubing on an H60 a few years ago. I used BMW blue coolant (50/50 w/distilled), but the color faded quickly and I could never get it bled fully. I used a large plastic tub, filled it with coolant and submerged the whole assembly for filling, bleeding and the final hose connection. It was a messy PITA.

Case 0201 arrived this morning at 9:00am. I was part of dispatch #26. At first I thought something must be missing when the postal worker handed me the box because it literally weighed almost nothing (I'm not new to aluminum cases) but much to my surprise and delight I was wrong. This case is absolutely an amazing piece of hardware. I tip my hat to you W360 and Necere. Hopefully the next time I'm in the market for a new case it will also come from NCASE!

I was so floored and excited about the case, I totally forgot to thank w360 and Necere! Thank you guys so much for all your efforts and I hope the whole process what as enjoyable for you as the end product is for me.

You've got me on the line for another case should you choose to make one AND possible accessories for the M1.

Woo-Hoo, looks like one of my cases is right down the street. #26
Hope I get both by Christmas Eve :)
