That's the second expansion. China Rising goes live in less than two weeks. DICE issued another server update today and they're trying to get another client patch out next week so hopefully most of the issues for people will be gone after that.

Odd, I had trouble finding a server with a less than 100 ping with any open slots. But....most of my faves were empty.

Someone told me on Reddit to check other for player count. They found they get a ton more results that way. I was seeing the same thing you are though when I owned the game. I got a refund from Origin so I can't test to see if that works right now.
 
getting 100% XP boost tonight without actually having an XP boost applied. unannounced double XP event?
 
They are investigating it per Twitter feed from Battlelog. It sounds like it is in error or started early.
 
Since the patch and new performance drivers not getting any crashes and performance is through the roof. Me likey.

I don't mind. Giving back a lot of lost progress more easily. :p

Though last time I played the mobile AA I was on the last unlock. Now I am back to having only half the unlocks. Which I find very odd, because I used the zuni rockets on a few different occasions (different days) unlocking it... so it isn't the typical server not recording the save type of thing. :(

Same. Per CaptNumbNutz (thanks again) I went to Punkbuster's actual site and download their update tool. Then installed the client patch from Battlelog and haven't experience a crash since! Also was able to bump up my resolution and graphics settings a bit too. The game is so much more enjoyable when it actually works
 
Scored almost 60k points in one round last night doing AA at the dam level. Was really fun, I think I moved up 3 levels in that game.

I am just waiting for the AA nerf. Pretty powerful stuff as it is. You have to stay away from tanks and C4-ing infantry, but I love the 30mm with rockets. I dont use the radar and HS missiles much if at all, plus as pilots get better, they will be able to avoid them, so I figure ballistic is the way to go.

I noticed what I thought was negative progression the other day as well, but so hard to tell. When I rank up, it flashes across the screen like 3 times over the curse of 30-40 seconds. Just in case I didnt see it the other 2 times I guess?
 
anyone have an issue where they click play from origin and but it wont login to webbrowser and cant play the game. Entering credientials just refreshes the page and I cant log in

Just tried it, and it is not for me.

I do have another issue. I have unlocked the suppressor for my Galil ACE (under assault rifle class) yet I can not equip it. I have 174 or so kills with it, and the unlock is at 160. It says I have unlocked it in Battlelog yet can't equip it?
 
I was hating this game until I accepted the fact that a big part of it was being able to get to higher ground. I wasn't used to skyscrapers and towers in FPS games until now.
 
What fps monitoring tool does everyone use? I use Inspector but don't see an option to record avg., min. or max fps. I started using 331.82 drivers and it looks like it gives better minimum frames than 331.65. With 331.65, my GPU usage in Inspector was basically a straight line across at 99%, but is now fluctuating more using 331.85. I'm using GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC and 4670K stock.

Not surprising, because its EZMODE now in BF4 compared to how it was in BF3, especially on that map since enemy armor can't really get to it due to chokepoints.I think its the only vehicle in the game you can play with one hand while eating lunch. Absurd.

I tend to avoid that map since its usually a guy in MAA pussycamping in safety of his base just spamming active radar missiles all round which hit RU heli's as theyre taking off. Cheap.

i just use the built in one for current fps and raptr lets me know at the end of the session what my average fps was

i managed to get close to 200k xp in a single round thanks to the double xp going around yesterday, is it still going today? i havent had a chance to play yet

it was powerful in BF3 too.
 
I didnt buy this game at day-one launch cause I knew it would be unstable.

I just bought it yesterday and installed it on a fresh copy of windows7 with 331.82 WHQL nvidia drivers.

I am getting horrible pauses/skipping that is making it unplayable. I did the core unpark fix but it changed nothing. I dont know what to do next...
Its smooth the first 3 minutes of gameplay then it starts pausing, it doesn't matter the settings. It will go from 60+fps to 0.

Any tips?
 
Ram is about 80% and CPU is about the same.
idk. Guess ill just install BF3 again until this gets patched or something.
 
Check your system temps too while playing, you may be thermal throttling the cpu or something.
 
Even after the patch that supposedly addressed netcode issues, I still find the netcode to be pretty lousy. I've been playing TDM and Domination because I prefer good old run 'n gun. There's just a lot of dying behind cover, etc. Not sure how much more time I want to spend on BF4 multi :(

TBH, I've been having a lot more fun with Killzone MP on PS4.
 
Did you let Windows install network drivers? If you did, I would suggest installing drivers from Asus or network card company. You may have a memory leak.

Okay, couple things. That article says its for win8 or 8.1
Im actually on win7. And I am using a wireless card.

But I did the fix anyways. Used the ethernet drivers from Asus's site for my mobo. Then updated my wireless card drivers aswell.

I just finished downloading and installing the nearly 40gigs of BF3 and expansions. Played a round and it was butter smooth the whole time just like always.
Loaded up BF4 (low gfxsettings) and it was smooth. I cranked it up to ultra/high and it was still smooth. A few hickups here and there but I was actually able to play a full round with 50-60fps. So, maybe there is a memory issue.
When I went to go change my support load out the game crashed, but it was still a much much better experience then Ive ever had with the game.

I get a weird memory leak with the game about one in ten matches. It is strange because it can go so many matches then all of a sudden the memory use goes to 99%, (all 16GB), but when I look in task manager, it doesn't show any process using that amount of memory at all, and at that time the game goes into slide show mode, actually the whole computer goes into slide show until I can reboot it or most of the time just hit the reset button.
 
compared to bf3 how much lower should I expect my fps to be in bf4 with the same graphics settings? I'm debating if I should get this game with the issues you guys are posting. I didn't have issues with bf3(as far as crashing and bugs go). I feel like I should keep waiting for the price to lower, its already down to $44

does win8 give better performance than 7?

I believe Gamestop will have BF4 for the PC for $25 on Black Friday. I'm jumping on it - bugs and all.
 
It was $30, but Walmart will have it for $25 so they dropped their price. Amazon will also have it for $29.99 on Black Friday.
