You actually think the disc will spin fast enough to lift the heavy side of the PS4 off the surface? It's not balancing on the center foot ...Its not nit picky or minor if the disc spinning causes the console to wobble, that can and will scratch discs which is a very legitimate concern

-Resogun is intense, fun and easily the best launch game.
For those of you getting a PS4 on launch day, if you buy a one year membership to PS+ you'll get $10 credit in the Playstation Store.

The deal is only good at physical GameStop and Best Buy locations as well as online through Newegg
Anyone know what the release stock levels are like? I'm hoping to walk in and buy one...
Amazon has them in stock right now.
Indeed they do. Those people dropping $600 on eBay didn't make a wise decision.

I don't believe resale will be very high on either of these consoles. Gone are the days of crazy proprietary hardware and consoles selling for $1500 the next day. I think the most you'll see is maybe a 100 to 200 dollar profit after fees etc. Just my opinion.
Hopefully there will be a way to record less compressed videos.

I don't even think you'll get that. There are several consoles with a BIN of $550 + s/h on Ebay right now.
On a $550 sale, fees come out to right about $75, assuming the most basic ebay listing and paypal as payment. So, at best, even if you got a console without tax or shipping, they are getting $75 for their effort. Once you start talking tax, shipping charges, or more premium listings to make yours more competitive, your looking at more like a $25-$50 profit.
So really, they are making someone else overpay $150, so that they can make $50. Which makes them a shit head. For everyone else trying to get $800-$1000 or more, I hope every single one of their listings fail to sell because of this.
The only people that I think stand a chance at making any sort of decent profit is craigslisters. You'll get people willing to pay more to have it right now, no fees, and less competition since its local only. How much will depend on where you are. On my local CL (small town), there are only four units on there, ranging for $800-$1200. But I checked out Chicago CL and there are units listed for $550-$600. Consider that anyone with one on hand now was a local sale, that means your looking at nearly $450 out the door with tax, so even CL in a populated area is bottoming out at only a $100 markup a mere 9 hours after launch. And I predict it will continue to go down once all the people that listed for $1,000 and then went to sleep wake up and see their listings are being severely undercut.
Seeing all this makes me incredibly happy. Most of the scalpers out there will either make very little, or just end up keeping their system or returning it because the money to be made isn't worth the effort.
Goshhh, this thing is thick.
I'm seeing hundreds of them going for sale between $550-600 and only a few selling at that price. I'm expecting people will get around $500-$550 for now and maybe over $600 once its closer to Xmas if stock isn't replenished by then.
Last night I saw some ending around 750 bucks lol
Can't believe eBay fees are that high these days...but then again I can. I was able to nab a Wii shortly after it was released and sold it for $100 profit on CL. Didn't feel like doing the same for either of these really.
