Noob Building PC for his son

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

The machine will be a jack of all trades. Gaming, photo editing, web browsing.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Budget is about Approximately $700 taxes in.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

Canada

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

For that buget I need a CPU, OS, Motherboard and Video Card.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

Case - Fractal Design Arc Mini
RAM - Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1K2
6) Will you be overclocking?
Maybe - not sure yet
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?

23 inch Dell U2312HM I can't recall the max resolution.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Probably the next month
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0, Sata 6GB/s... not sure what else I might need. I am leaning toward a 7850 card.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

For your photo editing, is it light photo editing or is that your profession?

Your gaming will mostly be affected by your GPU, but depending on how heavily you photo edit, your CPU may affect your photo processing.
 
Light photo editing. Would like a motherboard with decent sound capabilities.

Hard drive is a Western Digital Caviar Green 750GB SATA3 64MB Cache 3.5IN and is new.

I can't recall the make and model of the DVD drive. Not at home at the moment.

As for Canada Computers and Memory Express, I would be completely open to both of them. I wasn't actually aware of their existence to be truthful therefor verifying my noob status:eek:

Dangman - thanks for the input... only question I have is around the motherboard. Using an Arc Mini Case, would I not need a Micro ATX Motherboard? Would you have any suggestions? Thanks!
