It's time for an upgrade and i'll be coming from the current spec in my sig.
Things i'll be keeping:-
Hard drives, GPU, PSU, Heatsink.
Things i'll be buying with a budget of around £500 ($750):-
CPU, Mobo, RAM, Case, SSD, Win 8 (already purchased)
What i'll use it for:-
Gaming, mainly at 1080p (using a tv), films, tv, internet etc.
So...first question is, now that Haswell has arrived what should i go for?
I'm leaning towards the new 4670K (K because i will be overclocking), its new and only appears to be around £20-£30 more expensive then my next choice which would be a 3570K. Also the new 8 series chipset seems to support more USB3 and Sata3 devices and should be more 'future proofed' if that's even a thing these days...ive been out of the game for a while.
Which would you go for?
Cheers.
