Legacy of Kain series is amazing. I wonder if it stands up to the test of time, though. I remember playing Soul Reaver on the Dream Cast and thought it was the best game I've ever played...

sooooooo tempting.

Wing Commander 3 peaked my interest, too -- I seem to have misplaced my last disc.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they had the first Blood Omen but they have all of them cept it (believe it has something to do with licensing issues).

Wing Commander is a great game, can't hurt picking them up for this price, + DRM free as usual.

Also if you want another great space sim series might I recommend Independence War, a very good more realistic space sim (complete with newtonian physics).

a lot of these say win7 compatible.
Do they require dos emulator or run native in newer os's

The games usually have a form of Dosbox or something similar that works right out of the box so to speak. You don't usually have to d/l anything extra or tinker with it. (that's one of the points of gog, they take older games and then work on them to make them instlal/play under newer os's).

Download the game, install, then play.

As awesome as this is, I wish they were Steam-activated. I'd be all over the Blood Omen games if they were.

Decided to go for the Bullfrog pack. Already have Syndicate + American revolt but wouldn't mind the GoG convenience, not to mention all the other games in the pack that I don't have.

Dammit as if my backlog weren't full enough. I want them all!

By the way, for those of you who want a VERY unique experience and one of the best-kept secrets in video games, King of Dragon Pass is $3.

I wonder how if they fixed the problem with Magic Carpet where its speed was cpu dependent so it became unplayable on faster machines.

thanks Stiler

I guess its time to try some of my old games again.
I bet I have some of these buried in the closet or in the garage but its been soooooo long

Today's deals are pretty good:

Dosbox most likely. There was an infamous bug in Quest for Glory 4 caused by CPU speed, and the VGA version of Quest for Glory 1 also had some animations tied to CPU speed that were fixed by running in Dosbox and tweaking some of the settings. Both of which are also on sale at GoG. :D
