Hot deals for folders

the wife gave me the evil look when she saw me looking at that board .. :D

With that board and used 6128s, 16 X 1333 RAM, and refurbished 212+s, assuming a builder already has a PSU and old hard drive sitting in the parts bin, we're talking as little as $1300 for a G34, 4P, 32-core Folder. Not bad at all!

Alright, it's time now for ME to give my wallet to my wife.
Damn, I shouldn't have added up the parts costs.

If anyone still wants refurb Hyper 212+ heatsinks, compgeeks (www.geeks.com) has them for $12.99 each + shipping. You can get and additional 10% off with GEEKBERT, making them $11.69 each + shipping.

I just ordered a couple; I'm assuming that they'll come the same as direct CoolerMaster refurbs, but who knows. =) They should show up by the end of the week so I'll let everyone know what shape they come in.

They've also got the EVO now for $19.99, but since it's a `geek special' the coupon won't work.

YOU BASTARD! sigh, and here I thought I was going to get away with not building two 4p's...

To give you an idea on how much this actually costs on the cheap -
$370 Open box Motherboard
$415 4x6128s pulls from microtechcomp ebay seller (have contact info if needed)
$145 32GB Crucial ram (after volume discount and 15% coupon code)
$40 620W 80+ PSU
$55 4xCM 212+s
$15 212+ mod requirements
repurpose a random old HDD

Total cost - $1050... or you could spend an extra 300 on a SM board from provantage like I did...
Actually pricing everything out made me not want to buy this because while its a cheap mobo, I don't have the cash to build two right now and I wouldn't want to risk open box badness...

I bought a set of them, they came in new looking CM 212+ boxes with a refurbished sticker on them, haven't actually looked at them out of box yet though.

Those 212+ are a great price. Someone should jump on these. Hell I grab a couple of sets.

Bought 8 more to mod my other 2 4Ps.
The noise level decrease from the server fans is amazing considering I get lower temps as well.

Can't even add to cart now, but it seems the deal is still on. MC is too far away to check in store.

Keep in mind the rebate promotion is only valid for 1 per household.
Still, a VERY good deal.

Haha, well the one store near me still claims to have 10+ ... the other (Marietta store) now shows only 1 and it was showing 10+ earlier.

I bought 8 in Marietta. They showed 9 in stock when I went there, but I saw 3 left when I grabbed my 8. If you need a couple, let me know.

Thinking about getting a few...
$46.75 + $10 gas + $10 toll = $66.75 or around $16.68 each

I'm waiting for them to be refurb from CM again, going to get me 4.

Let's see, hmm, Alaska Airlines or Delta to way down south, Seattle, taxi to nearest Micro Center, return flight, airport parking fee, $10 gas round trip to Anchorage International... nope, I think I'll pass this one up.

Almost worth it to just get them from geeks.com at that point, sure those are refurbs, but has anyone had a problem with the refurbs?

It's ok... I've heard you prefer Dynatron A6s anyways...

Yes, this was discussed before... The refurbs seem to be in good shape... Also, look at Amazon used/refurb... you can find some for $20 shipped

Better hurry....Duluth may be "cool-less" soon :D

:D

Right now I don't need any, but told my brother to go get one... he's still using the stock cooler on his 2500k :(

The only flaw of the three that I ordered was the outer box. The coolers themselves and accessories all looked like new.

I just purchased this memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148559) from BestBuy's marketplace (Buy.com was the seller) for $28.8 ea shipped, $230 for 8 sets. After I placed the order the link changed. Now AntOnline is the seller, the price is higher and shipping is not included :( I was thinking about ordering another 8 set once I receive this order. I just hope they come through and deliver :) Could be a price error...

I bought 8 refurbed ones at geeks.com . Delivered quickly and packaged nice. I cannot tell the difference between these and new except for the extra label on the box.
Not sure if the sale price is still good.

Nope.

CM Hyper 212+ on geeks.com is still good ($12.99 + shipping) . shipping fee kills the deal
