Steam 2011 Holiday Sale is here!!

Thinking about getting SpaceChem.

Everything else I either have already, or I'm waiting for a bigger price drop, like DX:HR Augmented and Civ V: GOTYe. Kind of interested in the C&C games, but they really should offer a compilation pack. And I can't remember which one was the supposedly terrible one that I should avoid.

C&C4 should be avoided at all cost. This is something all C&C fans can agree on.

As for C&C3, I've enjoyed it and I think its a good game.

GTA complete pack is a good deal for those who don't have any of those games, but I already have a few and probably won't bother with the rest until I play the other GTA games that I haven't even touched yet. Nothing else for me. Maybe "Driver" if twas cheaper, but I'll wait 'til next X-mas for it when it's 75% off. :D

Not too bad for the Deus Ex dlc, might pick these up.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution™ – The Missing Link
Deus Ex: Human Revolution™ - Explosive Mission Pack
Deus Ex: Human Revolution™ - Tactical Enhancement Pack
Total - $6.77

More shit deals. Already own what I want to own and for fuck sakes indie crap on sale is bullshit.

No... 6.77 is more than most people are willing to pay for most games, and these are greedy add-nothing DLCs that actually steal content that should have gone to everyone who bought the fucking game in the first place. Seriously, reserve a silencer on the sniper rifle only to people who pay 3 more dollars on top of the 50 the game originally cost? No in principle, no in practise.

I haven't bought anything all week. WTF kind of crap sale is this?

settle down Beavis. first off, the Missing Link DLC is about as long as some games. next those other DLC immediately gives you a few cool items, 10,000 credits and another mission. $6.77 for 5 more hours of gaming and all of those other things is not too bad at all. and considering the base game gives you 25 hours or more of great gameplay then paying $6.77 for more of this game is not that bad.

can anyone comment on riddick dark athena?

Great game. Stealth, action, and a cool story. Plus the chance to be Riddick! How cool is that. Steam says I have 16 hours logged for the entire game(for the original and Dark Athena). So not bad since I paid around $5 for it.

about deus ex. i didnt have any of the DLCs and put just about 49 hours into the game already. also, with a mod you can download online, you can have access to the two cheaper DLCs already. (its in the game already, just locked). the only bought the missing link dlc because unlike many many games today, that DLC is supposed to be as long as its own game already. kinda like a half life episode. i can agree the cheaper DLCs might be blah in terms of making people pay for silenced sniper rifle and such but the missing link dlc i'd have to say would deserve my 5 dollars.

that said, in for missing link DLC. wont be able to play til next week but glad it finally came on sale. its 66% off at GMG too tomorrow. might as well get it today on steam.

Dark Athena includes a remake of the campaign from the original Escape From Butcher Bay along with a new campaign.

Nothing for me today, thankfully. Steam has about $130 of my money so far since the sale began.
You know it's probably time to stop with the Steam sales, when while browsing your Steam library, your repeated reaction is:

"I didn't even I know I had that game on my Steam account..."
or
"I don't remember buying that..."

:(

I've had that this sale several times.

Also I've been looking at a few games this sale, thinking they would be good or fun, then realizing that Steam is telling me in green that I already own the game. Silly me

Does GTA IV have native xbox 360 controller support?

Yes and you can switch between keyboard to controller on the fly no problem. I would always leave my controller plugged in for driving then use the keyboard and mouse while on foot.

Same here. Made the helicopter flying much easier.

sweet thanks buys. will pick this up for 5 bucks. Won't bother with expansions. Just want it so I can cause some mayhem :p

I liked the GTA4 expansions better then the original game lol. They are shorter yes but found them more enjoyable.

Well maybe ill get them if they ever go on sale. Installing the base game right now. Can't wait to play this.

Oh its not on sale? I thought it was. Or was that a few days ago?

No it is. I just don't want to buy the whole thing right now. I have never finished a GTA game before, usually lose interest about halfway through.

Ahh ok. Ya they can be a bit repetitive. I only finished GTA4 because I like killing stuff and wanted to see how it ended. :p
