I'll buy two 7970's and two of the top Kepler's when released. It's not your money, relax.
Frankly, both of them have had foul-ups but I think blaming AMD more than Nvidia in that regard is nonsense.
I think the 25% faster than GTX 580 will be in older DX 9 games at resolutions below 2560x1600. In DX 11 games and at eyefinity resolutions I believe these figures located here may be more what we'll see and that has me excited

The big question for me is will the 7950 unlock to all 2048 shaders and give me these #s and beyond much like my 6950s did for me with 6970 and beyond performance. If so I'll be a happy camper with 2 7950s
Well 30% is an average, but I wouldn't take an AMD or nVidia slide that seriously depending on the card of course. As for unlocking, I would think that AMD will have done something about that simply because this 7970 is pricey and I'm sure they love to sell those rather than the 7950. I guess we know about that until next year.

I think people shouldn't get so hung up on slides. With the way these slides represent reality, it's far better to just wait patiently until the product comes out and the reviews are in. I don't trust slides at all anymore
A 25% improvement over GTX580 for <$400 would be great to me, especially when you look at where the 6970 currently stands.
However, we are shrinking two process nodes and receiving the first brand new architecture since the R600. Remember, we were supposed to go from 40nm > 32nm > 28nm, Cayman had to be cut down due to TSMC canceling the 32nm process. I'll take a 25% improvement over the 580, but I'm sure hoping we get some more.
You people are dreaming if you think it'll be <$400 AND 30% faster than a GTX580.
There's no reason for AMD to price it below the GTX580 if it's that much faster. $499-$549 seems likely.
I don't see how a 25% performance improvement over the GTX 580 is disappointing. In fact, I don't see how it's anything less than stellar.
For comparison, the 6970 was slower than the GTX 480, and the 5870 was about 25% faster than the GTX 280, yet it was praised as an incredible card.
If AMD can beat Nvidia's top card and offer a lower price, that's incredible.

This will be a huge WIN for AMD if they can do it.

Brent, would it be possible to ask when the next [H]ard|OCP graphics card related article would be going online?
Brent may have just uploaded the review to the web server. Quickly, try to ninja it before they get the .htaccess restriction in place by typing URLs like this:

go go go.
I just hope it truly delivers. I've only started to really get into pc gaming recently (mostly a console gamer), and I feel the same way. The introduction of a new card is like a new console launch, in a way. Heehee.
Something tells me that Kepler is gong to be pretty amazing.
