battlefield 3 LE pc amazon digital download $41.99

Dang, anyone know if i can cancel my EA pre order that was 60 bones? 18 bucks for a preorder is alot!
 
So my question is this: who do you actually download it from? Amazon? If so, how is their service? Is it a scam like Origin (2 years of idle and your game is revoked)? Can you re-download it multiple times?

Well, guess I'm cancelling my Newegg preorder. If it were the same price, I would've kept it for a hard copy for installation reasons but an extra $9.50 can get me a decent lunch.

They will release BF3 on STEAM as well as Origin! :D And you will only need to use origin to install BF3 if you bought a retail version, supposedly :D
I will NOT be using Origin (many reasons, especially privacy) and hope they follow through with putting it on steam

I'm 99% sure that EA already said that BF3 is absolutely not going to be on steam. also lol the privacy shit is old news, the origin EULA has already been changed. that said, origin is shitty nevertheless
 
Yeah, I just double checked and it was a rumor they were going steam, but now its official that it WILL NOT be on steam... thanks for updating my comment sir! :)

Awesome, thanks. Its was only cheaper than my newegg preorder by $2. Normally, I would have left it. But now I won't have to wait for shipping.

I ordered from the link posted below, and I am 99.999% sure that you can easily cancel the preorder on origin by checking the email you used to order, and there should be a link to your order confirmation page in there. either that, or just call origin on the phone if you cant find a spot to cancel

This is my 3rd time preordering BF3, and I think I'll be sticking with this one! I had $50 worth of giftcard credit from Amazon anyways, so basically I'm getting a kickass game for free. You can't beat that.
 
Great deal. If it ends up coming out on Steam you can always cancel your Amazon order. They don't charge you until release date anyway.

I got on the EA Origin chat and cancelled my preorder. And it looks like I kept my free Dead Space 2! Already ordered through amazon.

Ha, for $4 :p

At least you got a free game and more importantly EA gets less of the pie!

I'm just afraid that if I cancel that I wont give a rats to preorder for the second time. The beta and direction of this game just isn't exciting me.

BTW when you ordered with Amazon, do they give you an origin key on the spot? Or will they only release the game the day of release?
