Looking for a ASUS P8P67-M PRO Rev3.0 (B3) motherboard. Anyone know of any reputable online dealers that have it in stock?

Think they have to fulfill their RMAs first... still have not gotten any confirmation of mine.

I got the ASUS P8P67 Pro (B3) last night at my local Microcenter store (Maryland/DC area). Not advertised or listed online - I just happened to see two of them stacked way up high on top of the display cases, and unmarked/untagged. I grabbed one but they charged me $230. I added a "no questions asked" extended warranty for $30 and now I can finish my build.

Usually their inventory for each store shows up online at Microcenter.com, but not this time. And it is generally available online if it is in the stores. They must be behind in terms of putting the data in.

this has happened to me before at the MA cambridge store. Online it showed they were out of stock of 2600k cpu's but when i got to the store they were fully stocked. You never really know what they have in their stores since there seems to be a delay in updating the website.

Got the Pro Version today in NJ Microcenter for $200 :D Only 1 Left after me.

So is the B3 stepping the revision with the new SATA chipset without the problem? IE, if I found that in stock somewhere, I could buy it and complete my build?

I appreciate the tips, I will definitely give them a call or stop up there tomorrow. If anyone see one readily available online please post. Thanks!

Yes!

I purchased one today at the Microcenter in Mayfield Heights, Ohio today. $189.99 before tax, they had one more left.

Aww what the heck man!! I called them at 11:40AM 40 minutes after they opened up and they said they had none in stock. As a matter a fact I called both the one in Columbus and in Mayfield.... I'm so pissed right now. (I'm approx 40 min away from one in Mayfield)

Did you buy the ASUS P8P67-M PRO B3? Approx what time did you go there?

Yeah really...why ARE people paying $230 for a board that can be found for $150?

I'm guessing they can't wait any longer.

I know after the recall hit, people were able to resell there boards, these are the boards with known sata issue, for quite a bit more than they paid.

Actually it was the regular Asus P8P67 Pro B3, There was one more on the shelf. I was there at 11:00am when they opened. It has the 1305 bios and it works great so far.

According to ASUS the P8P67 Pro version and the P8P67-M Pro have several differences. The one you are quoting is the M version. You can see the differences by filling this compare out here:
http://www.asus.com/compare.aspx

Also, time is money too. The delivery date has been iffy on this board so when I saw it on the shelf (the regular PRO) it was prior to a weekend, and rather than keeping an eye out for another week in the hopes of saving maybe $30-$40, I just picked it up locally. I guess it just depends on an individual's preference/circumstance.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the title of this thread had the M in it. Nobody is questioning a purchase of a regular Pro board here.

Doubt they actually have it. Ordered a Deluxe few hours ago estimate shipping 48 hours and showed estimate arriving friday, then a couple hours later status changed to all backordered. Called to check and was informed they were "expected" to arrive next week. So cancelled order and still searching for a decent p67 mobo.

thanks for the info.

Heheh, sorry about that. I guess I just saw the word PRO and others talking about it too, so I figured it was the P8P67 PRO, not the "M" version. No wonder people thought some of us really overpaid.

From this thread though, it sounds like the people that got hold of the mobo from the various Microcenters, only got the regular PRO, not the M version. I asked what else they had, and that was it.

Thanks to this thread, I clicked the link to Directron. To my shock and surprise, the P8P67-M-Pro showed as being in stock at $149. I hurried up and placed an order, and then called to confirm it is in stock. They have 1, and its coming to me. Sweet!

Damn you, thats the one I was going to get but couldnt get back home in time to order!

There are NO boards available to ship from anyone. If they have it in stock, they are lying. Many many retailers are taking orders, but then say shipping will happen in 7 to 21 DAYS! The people who DO have it wont ship to Hawaii. Assholes.

Edit: Got one from some place called Compuplus in New York. They were willing to ship for $16 dollars. The mobo put me back 179. :p 196 for a 150 dollar board. Oh well. Now to see if it's a real deal or not.

I guess being stuck at home sick actually came in handy for once. I have nothing else to do but gel in front of the computer. Got the tracking number, and it's due to be delivered tomorrow. Now I've got to get the 2500K so I can put this MB in this weekend.

Yeah, I got to wait a week before I can get my 3500K. In between there somewhere I got to RMA some ram too.

Sheesh, everything about this build has cost an extra 10-15% due to crap market and 'extra charges'

edit: I checked Electronica, they wanted something like 26-32 dollars to ship. goddamn living in Hawaii sometimes :p

I already DID wait multiple weeks. Sold my old gear, almost pulled the trigger on the first revision. Had a combo of ram/cpu and mobo in the in box. Was about to press 'order'.

Went out had a smoke, came back and refreshed web page: zOMG INTEL TEH FAILS.
lol.

Looks like they screwed the pooch with the new bios. OC's 'bout the same, temps are 'bout the same, but any OC over 4.0 won't come out of sleep mode. Machine appears to come out but without video.

Nothing new there. Almost every new model p55 and H55 did the same thing, sleep would never wake up with video. 4 systems, all the same!

Long as I can get myself 500mhz, I'm g.

No issues with resuming from sleep here. So far I'm at 43 multi, 1.28V. P8P67-M PRO B3, BIOS version 703.

Newegg's got everthing Asus but the Pro. MC today had the Deluxe. At least that's a good sign supllies are improving.
