New Crysis 2 single player trailer!

I'm sure there will be some hate but what I see there tells me it's going to deliver the goods I'm looking for.

If I'm honest about it, I think it would take a lot for me not get that game on day one.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Curious to see if it taxes modern day pc's like the original did back in the day.

damn, that is one tasteless cover of New York, New York :p

looks interesting enough, I sure hope the gameplay doesnt boil down to mindless "smash baddies with favorite ability, regen health like a boss".

Not getting this on release

Looks fun and I'll probably buy day 1 but I hope it's not a let down.

*Que all the people coming in here QQing about how they will wait for it to be 10 bucks on steam next year.*

It looks good to me. It also looks like that video wasn't from the console version. I enjoyed the first part of Crysis and I enjoyed Warhead pretty much all the way through. So I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Yeah, no way that's the console version. That looks well beyond what a console is capable of doing.

Single-player is really the draw for me with Crysis 2 - I have Bad Company 2 and others for multiplayer.

I'm expecting that Crysis 2's single player will be better than the original overall, although who knows how open-ended it will be compared to Warhead and the first half of Crysis.

Not sure. Hopefully it will be good. I get the sense that they may have concentrated more on game play but it's anyone's guess at this point.

Same here.

Apart from the lack of variety in the settings, I thought the new trailer was pretty good.

I thought all single player now was 2 maps and 37 minutes of game play

It looks pretty decent to me, but take that with a grain of salt. I liked the first one, too.

Let's hope Crysis 2's game-play stays consistent throughout the entire game. Crysis started out fun but became a little soulless/lifeless towards the end. I have fairly high hopes after looking at all of the singleplayer footage out.

I have my fun with later part, not quite sure why some people find it boring while I find it not bad :S

Aside from Mass Effect 3, this is THE game I am waiting for. But why did they change the original armor suit voice. This new/modified one doesn't fit well with me.

The game looks great -- can't release soon enough. Hopefully current gen cards will fair well with high/highest settings.

There were 2 voices for the armor in Crysis, a female and a male voice. I would assume it is a new nanosuit.

Rumoured Crysis 2 minimum specs:

• Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
• Nvidia 8800 GT or higher
• 2 GB RAM
• Windows XP/Vista/7
• 9 GB free hard disk space
• Internet connection

Aliens...*sigh*.
That's what ruined a great game for me last time. I LOVED Crysis up until the alien crap started, then I couldn't get through it quick enough. But I'm a sucker for punishment and never learn, I'm sure I'll end up buying it.

Am I the only one here not looking forward to this game?

Yeah, it's going to be hard to follow up to the original, that's for sure. I haven't set my expectations too high, so am not expecting too much from it. I hope to be pleasantly surprised. ;)

Looks sort of like a FEAR 2 mod for Crysis, except with aliens instead of spooky stuff. I hope it's the best of both, rather than the worst.

I want to hear about the CryEngine 3 Sandbox Level Editor. I want to see what amazing levels the community can do, like they did for Crysis 1!

Aren't those identical to the recommended requirements for Crysis Warhead with a smaller HD free space size? If true, horribly low res textures lol?

Yeah, I think you might be right. But let's wait until Crytek releases the official system requirements before we draw any kind of conclusion at this point.

Actually I just realized something regarding the game size, it may be extrapolated due to Xbox 360 requirements. I believe Microsoft charges the pub/dev more for each extra DVD required. John Carmack for instance was complaining about this when developing Rage for the xbox360.

I have my fun with later part, not quite sure why some people find it boring while I find it not bad :S

Lets see:

Aliens with horrible, horrible AI
All exploration and freedom completely stripped away
Long ass and incredibly stupid escort mission
All semblance of care for the setting and story killed
Enemies popping up with their own Nanosuits for no reason and taking way too long to kill
That god damn VTOL level
The last level
The final boss
The ending

Looks like a new, updated crysis... sweet.

But I will say one thing for certain, and that is the alien/futuristic look is going to kill Crysis. It's becoming too scifi like, almost unappealing to me now. Way too many aliens and such.... keep it more realistic and modern like crysis was, not throw in aliens like 50 other games out now!.... or else you will surely see a big drop in potential clientele.
