Here are two new HTML5 experiences you can run in your browser, designed in the spirit of the holiday season and with hardware accelerated HTML5 in mind. Check out Santa’s Workshop, where the speed of your browser on your PC determines how many elves help pack Santa’s bag for the big night, and how fast they work. We built this experience using HTML5 technologies like integrated SVG graphics and HTML5 audio.

187 Gifts per minute, but there isn't any kind of baseline given, so I no way of knowing what this means.

IE9 Beta:
~170 gifts a minute.
~1600 snowflakes.

Chrome stable (8.x):
~70 gifts a minute.
blizzard demo wouldn't run.

main rig, in sig.

They seem very dependent on resolution of your window. I can get anywhere between 3 and 4000 snowflakes depending on my window size. They should have a button to set it to 1024x768 or something so there would be a control for comparison purposes.

the new benchmark tool .. PPM ... Presents Per Minuet

how long till we start seeing them in ppls sigs?

piece of shit

firefox 4 beta
penryn dualcore celeron mobile 2ghz

16 gifts/minute.

240 flakes at 1024x768.

According to the results, IE rocks and all others suck. I'm sure that wasn't intentional.

This runs like crap on MacOS. 1 elf! I tried in IE6 but it asks me if I want to open or save default.xml!

started out with 18 or so ppm but it wittled down to 10 ppm and zero snowflakes cuz it won't load.

Chrome with a dual core laptop from......... 8 years ago?

Is this even consider a good benchmark?? LoL

after running both at max size for ~10 minute i got:

192ppm
1523 snowflakes

on IE9 beta

the PPM & snowflakes still keeps on going up gradually from what i see
