I say crazy Black Friday shopper "number one" because the day is still young and we have no idea how many other people will threaten fellow shoppers waiting in line with a gun.

Several hundred shoppers were in line just after 10 p.m., when the woman attempted to move to the front of the line, police said. When she was confronted by other shoppers, she made threats to retrieve a gun and shoot the shoppers.

This is the reason why I stopped working retail. 8.50 an hour for massive amounts of customers for 12 hours. Every place I worked at had some kind of Arguement/fight.

That's crazy!

I remember a black guy on black friday at a Game Stop trying to zip his way to the front of the line. There was a line out the store and it was pretty hectic. Probably about 30-40 people.

I told him where the line started and to not cut in line. He then starts calling me racist and whitey this and whitey that, and how we white folks run the world  It's funny how no one else spoke up that day though.

I told the employee about it, and he told him the end of the line was out the door.

The lines are like that everyday. Just let me pay and go, stop asking those questions, no I dont have games for trade....

Have never done the black friday thing, mostly because I work that day, and the deals never seem that great, especially compared to my online shopping habits.

Ah yes, the wonders of an ultra-consumerist society that values nothing higher than the acquisition of stuff.

They could avoid all this by shopping online, but that would require a modicum of thought, which is beyond most Americans.

Or maybe people just like to, you know, be around other people? Buying our "stuff" every November is a social experience for many people.

Obviously not the line jumpers, but everyone else.

I would love to argue against this, but after going into town for a hair cut and seeing the mall, Shopko, Walmart, and even Kmart inundated with people, I'll whole-heartedly agree. Just don't include me with "most" Americans. :D

Looks like she still got a Black Friday deal! :p

From Article said:
"She's now spending her shopping money to post bond," said Madison Police Sgt. Erik Fuhremann.

a couple years ago someone was trampled to death at walmart on a black friday sale. i'd rather stay home.

Went to Wal-Mart at midnight. Was kind of circus, but not that bad. No one went too crazy.

I went to Staples to grab a couple of APC 200W UPSs that they had on sale for $20. Got there, no sale tags, was told the one that was on sale is out of stock, despite there being a stack of them on the shelf at regular price. Guess they didn't want my money.

I will not go out on Black Friday

not even if they have suitcases stuffed with a million bucks in each suitcase to give to everyone who waits in line.

I picked up Expendables for $13 and the complete series of 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo for $9. So I picked up more things then I thought I would.

I didnt even buy anything. Last year I waited in line for 10hrs to get a 60" TV and this year I didnt but anything. Though I did go out and buy Black ops for full price because my friends are nagging me.

this year, I bought Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for $39.99 at Wal Mart, i snagged a copy for myself and one for my friend.

Kmart was open on Thanksgiving and they were advertising the game at that price, I went out after noon and got my copy instead of camping out in the rain at 5 a.m. in the morning for the store to open.

No surprise, there were plenty of copies available. It looks like the stores that opened on Thanksgiving for shopping flopped.

100% spot on

And the actual deals that are good are limited to the first 5 idiots that stand in a line for 8 hours.

8 hours of my time = at least $80+..... and then standing outside on a sidewalk you'd definitely have to pay/save me more money for "wasting" my time at such an uncomfortable location with a bunch of loud, crazy people trying to cut and screw you over for the same limited amount of awesome deals.

Deals are much better online... ALL YEAR LONG compared to one shitty day on Black Friday. You just have to wait for good things to pop up.

hahaha, that made the article great :D

Smart ass cop, and stupid ass 21 year old girl.... heh. Must have been freezing up there to say something so desperate and threatening?

I stayed at home and had leftover turkey while watching all my friends families get up super early only to come back empty handed lmao

Online shopping ftw!

If i ever go out on Black Friday, I'll carry a bag of marbles with me and deploy them just as the doors open

the chaos would be hilarious.

nah, not really, but people are so stupid.

The thing I don't get is the sheer stupidity of society. EVERY single bloody year, there's always some females in late stages of pregnancy who line up and try to tackle their way through. What the hell is going through their minds and their husband's?

>implying they have husbands

this guy got trampled again this year, but he didn't die like the lady 2 years back..... he managed to take his last few breaths trying to snag a black friday TV it appears, hahhaa

From WIVB:

As people rushed in to gobble up the sale items, one of the shoppers, Keith Krantz, had gotten pinned against a metal door support and then shoved from behind to the ground. He began screaming out in pain as shoppers stepped over, around, and on him. Shoppers went about their business as Keith began feeling his life might end at the Target doorway.

"At that moment, I was thinking I don't want to die here on the ground. That's exactly what I thought," said Keith

Keith staggered off to the television section, where he collapsed. Paramedics were called and Keith was hauled off to the hospital for X-rays and CAT scans, but he's doing fine. Target management says the company will cover all his medical bills.

He may have missed his chance to snag a 1/2-price flatscreen TV, but Keith got a wicked Black Friday bargain on the hottest holiday gift of them all: Life.
