Are there cheats in the new CoD already? Yes, but this isn't one of them. Trust me, when you run into a cheater, you'll know. It won't be "This guy is too good and has to be cheating", but rather "Could you make it any less obvious that you're cheating". They'll run 50-1 KDR's or better in a matter of sub 5 minutes.

if he were hacking I'd have to say he's the worst I've ever seen. But it looks legit to me, and seems like an above average player.

I wouldn't say an above average player. But then again, I forget that average players tend to be incredibly horrible.

How were you able to see my videos in the theatre? I thought I had to share them first??

I guess not. To be honest I wasn't sure if it would be there. The video was 6:11 long and was a team deathmatch on firing range. Filters got me most of the way there. I took all of 10 minutes to go down the list and check the three or four that were 6:11.

Hardcore is only good if the OP killstreaks like Huey are disabled.

That's what launchers are for. I'm honestly surprised at how many kills I can get with the Huey because nobody seems to use a launcher as their secondary but me.

I've given up on even attempting to get normal with all the people who run straight through the fire trying to get a knife kill. At least with hardcore I don't have to worry consistently about the idiots who don't use ghost and a surpressor and decide they're going to follow me around like a lap dog.

And friendly fire makes it so you can see who knows how to play, and who doesn't.

I carry around launchers all the time as well. It doesn't change the fact that the majority of the killstreak rewards are vastly OPed on hardcore mode.

If any of you guys would like to play a game add me on steam "mobusta3" (I usually only do TDM).

I'll be playing in another 10-20 mins or so

Hardcore all the way.. anything else isnt CoD in my eyes :p

Really? People hiding in corners and laying in the gayest spot doesn't sound like real CoD to me. The hardcore fad has sucked from the beginning, and I'm ashamed it's caught on like a wildfire. It just promotes lame styles of play and shit talking. I'm down for a streamlined HUD but the increased weapon damage is laughable at best.

I only play hardcore in Black Ops, and I have never played a COD game online before.

It promotes a more careful style of play, to be sure, but playing an objective-based scenario helps eliminate the over-abundance of camping.

Not sure why the increased weapon damage is laughable? I find it more enjoyable when I hit a guy with a three round burst from the M16 and he actually goes down. I'm a run-and-gunner, and I definitely die a lot in Hardcore, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

As for the discussion on the rocket launchers, I'm not sure why anyone would carry anything BUT a launcher as a secondary weapon. It's awesome taking down spy planes and choppers, AND it helps your team out immensely. Maybe they need more of a reward for downing aircraft to encourage people to do so.

Did you ever play competitively mobusta? I competed with a few different teams on Team Warfare in TAM, iCTF, etc.

I agree with this and do it as well. Please watch how many times he goes around the corner and he has his crosshairs exactly on the person. Also note from 2:50 on. There is one dot on the map so I can understand why he is over there. However after he runs in and kills the guy without letting go of the trigger he runs into that little cutout and kills someone he couldn't have known was there.

I know some people are gifted but there is just way to much coincidence in this video for me to believe it.

I agree with this. there is just way to much bullshit in this video. He knew exactly where everyone was before even getting to the spot.

Cant stand people like you in all seriousness

ok for all you baddies out there. checking areas and expecting enemies in certain parts of the map is not indicative of wall hacking. it's called making use of map experience / knowledge and it is something that should not be hard to pick up but many fail at doing so (eg all the people that cry hack in this thread). there's even a mini-map in the upper left hand corner that very often shows enemy positioning and is in place obviously to help even the playing field.

examples of non wall hack play

0:17 - he checks an empty corner before moving forward
0:48 - he reacts to a random shot that breaks the glass, but doesn't know where it came from
1:12 - he uses RDS on an empty doorway then moves forward then looks at an empty room without using RDS and reacts when he sees enemies moving through it
1:47 - he runs straight into an enemy and promptly gets mowed down
1:53 - he starts shooting at an enemy he sees at mid range while another enemy all of a sudden shows up 5 to 10 feet away from OP's position
2:35 - first kill is a delayed reaction because his brain is processing whether it is a friendly or enemy. the second kill he sees the enemy, starts reloading his gun, then realizes it's an enemy and knifes him.
2:39 - the third kill might look like wall hacking but after he kills the second enemy, there is a very brief moment where he sees out the doorway and sees the enemy's color which differentiates from the background.

I'm too lazy to break down the rest of the video.

Jesus, I suck at CoD and I've had some better runs than that. Please don't report me the next time I get lucky...

He's not hacking.

Good points. Also, someone would have to be beyond internet-dumb to post a video of them playing while cheating. The number of people in-game that accuse others of cheating is quite annoying. Unless I see someone that has a 50 to 1 K : D ratio, there's no point in even thinking twice about it.

It's the state of online gaming though. They must be cheating, because I'm the greatest player I know! No one can match my genius tactics as I have a 110 IQ!

I'd guess that about 5% of the community cheats (and about 25% of the community whines about cheating). But that doesn't mean you'll ever see them. Good servers have good admins who keep servers clean. And while the admins are not necessarily perfect (heck, most of us have been banned from one server or another before because of a paranoid admin), it's usually good enough to give most players a solid experience.

If you think someone's cheating, the first question you should ask is if you're just a bad player. I get frustrated quite often in these FPS on rails games such as CoD, because of the poor quality of players. Teammates who are oblivious to being shot at, teammates who go after a knife kill while another teammate is involved in a gun fight, teammates who appear to be deaf, teammates who don't bother helping another teammate in a gun fight, teammates who are incapable of understanding the concept of objectives, etc. And at the end of the day, it's these players who are whining "CHEATER!", I'd love to make a video about the state of play of your average gamer, but it would be too condiscending towards the general community.

5% might be high. I might peg it at around 0.5%. I have absolutely no concept of how to cheat or who actually is cheating, though, so I could easily be totally wrong. The way I look at it is I am normally getting destroyed by most good players anyway, so, unless someone is clearly dominating in an unusual fashion, I couldn’t care less. I still have fun.

Nah, to be competitve you have to know pretty much where every single rock is in a map. I don't care for that type of map knowledge. I just have a general understanding of where things are and I react pretty fast due to the fact that I've been a long time UT player.

I've been asked to play in tourneys but I'm mainly just a casual gamer.

Yeah, Imma put my vote in for the "non-bullshit" group here. This guy is pretty legit and a lot of the skills that I've seen in the video are skills that any good fps player will learn over time.

For the most part "knowing where people are" comes down to a probability of "how often do people go to/remain in/camp in a specific area." The prefiring on the prone guy on the ground at the beginning of the movie was the only thing that seemed BS to me at first, but I watched the rest of the video and that hypothesis was put to rest.

Good gamers make good deductions. The way I see it, if I see two guys, kill one, then quick retreat to reload and regroup, the chances of me surviving that corner are greatly increased if i take the risk of prefiring versus not firing until i see that guy. "Knowing" that guy is there is just the ability to read how a player reacts and taking guesses on past reactions of other players in similar situations. This is basic probabilistic game theory: holding certain variables as static, what are my options and what choice provides the greatest benefit to me? Furthermore, those gamers who have formed a basic model of how the average opponent will generally react will less often make those choices which lead to his demise.

Not to sound too harsh, but did anyone else think OP wasn't that great at all? I've never played COD, but I've played plenty of CS, and that video left me with the impression that OP would get stomped even in cal-o. Too much running and gunning, and bad aim even with no recoil?

Again, don't want to sound too harsh, but it hopefully it validates the fact that I can't believe people are accusing him of hacking.

also not to sound harsh, but IMO he sucked.

played cs all the way back from 1.3 (yes, real CS not this source crap.)

played cal competitively since season 8. played a couple seasons in cal m, most in im.

if you are reading the above and dont know what im talking about, you are just a pubber. aka not good.

he sucked.

Even if he was 'hacking' which i dont think he was, I wouldnt give a fuck because of how bad he was doing.

move along.

You're comparing apples to oranges. CS and COD are totally different. Just like CS and UT are totally different. I was considered to be in the top 10 during ut 99 and ut 2k4 for North America. I tried bringing that skill to CS and it didn't work because in CS it seems as though you NEED to know how to aim. That might be one of the reasons why I've always hated CS.

My aim use to be a LOT better when I was a hardcore gamer and I use to light up even the best players in cod4. However, in the past few years i've turned into more of a casual gamer and I game maybe 70-80 hrs a year.

Im not ragging on you specifically, im doing my best to put it into perspective that you were not cheating.

Ok, now i don't feel so bad. I played mostly cal-o/cal im, since 1.3 as well. Still open cs once in a while and noscope awp rush in dust2 :). gotta agree, source hitboxes are ridiculous.

mobusta: i find it odd you say CS NEEDS you to aim. i can't see ut not requiring you to aim...

mobusta: i find it odd you can be ranked that high if you can't aim? all the good ut players could aim better than i could...

ut and cod are two separate beasts.

Like I said my aim 3-4 years ago was TOTALLY different than it is now. After I stopped playing UT I never practiced my skill. That's why I am mostly just an average player. But when it comes to pubbing I'm probably above average.
