Anyone else not getting bigadv WUs for their L5640?
I'm pulling nothing but A3

There is something amiss with your setup. One week is way too long a time, IMO. Make certain you have big packets configured in your client setup. My i7 has had -bigadv turned on for about a week now and not a single WU.
I thought the new smp was hardcoded to big?

For the conspiracy nuts out there I leave this....what if...what if...Nvidia is paying Stanford to hold off on sending out bigadv units for right now???? Just hear me out, so that the EVGA team (who must be heavily GPU laden) can beat us out and hit 4bill ASAP??@?@??!??!!!??
Huh...Huh??? Put your tin hats on people!!!
J/K.....or am I?
I think somebody is knocking on your door right now....
edit- Actually you know what I'm using only the -advmethods tag
I hate the 2684s as much as the rest of you guys but I wouldn't mind seeing how my machine would handle one now with all that extra core goodness
Absolutely. I've been looking at the top 5 teams the past few weeks and there has been a general production increase throughout. OC.net and the Russians have really kicked it up a few notches and if it weren't for our ramp to thwart EVGA's ascension, we would have more than them to worry about...What I think is really happening is we are sucking up all the bigadv so fast stanford is having a hard time keeping up. I mean, less than 2 weeks ago the top two teams doubled their production, and some of the other top 10 have been stepping it up too
Actually, not as much as people believe proportionally speaking. We may have a higher percentage of CPU clients especially recently with the big push for multi-socket systems and hex-cores, but -bigadv has seen a very high adoption rate among EVGA members since the beginning. During the A2 -bigadv days, the most popular method of running -bigadv non-natively was using the EVGA VM image created by one of their team's members. EVGA also benefited from a number of individuals who have access to large server farms at work for a long time now. I don't think these farms are GPU-based. Only since this past summer have we acquired a few people with enterprise equipment on a continuous basis. That is a very short time in comparison to EVGA's top guns who've folded for them before -bigadv was even available to everyone. We are late to the party but at least we arrived in style.Nvidia is paying Stanford to hold off on sending out bigadv units for right now???? Exactly!Yes, Style, in a sea of Black and Red, with the letters S, R, and the number 2 all thrashing about in it
I'd wager close to a dozen if we include those that aren't online yet, probably more...Just how many SR-2's are on the team atm anyways?
My 980X has been running standard SMP all day. However, the SR-2 finished a 2684 and immediately got a 2686.
At least i'm not alone as I was beginning to wonder. Normally I get a couple of regular stuff and then finally pull another bigadv, but not today.
Not online should put that count over a dozen
I seriously think we lead the way in SR2 adoption, I think it would be cool to start a thread with all the current SR2 owners and their rig's PPD, just to get a rough sketch of how much of the team output is from those monsters. I'd bet once everyone comes online it would be near a million
