New Lian Li PC-V354 m.atx case : Specification & Feature

I'm looking to put an H70 in this case. It seems like a tight squeeze but i think that changing the 140mm top exhaust for a slim 120mm Scythe fan. :D

I'm going to put my money on....Wednesday...afternoon they'll be available. completely arbitrary guess, but if im right, i win a case. :D
 
I hope you're right about Wednesday. It's bugging me having my SFF parts in an FT02.

Wednesday is September 1st, which wouldn't be end of August. I say they're available tomorrow because everything gets released on Tuesdays.
 
are tiger direct & newegg the best avenues to get the first batch? What distributors get the new stuff first?

ouch! but I may be relegated to the same situation since i just got my sg03 20 days ago from newegg, so 10 more days to get the v354 and send back the 03. Something tells me that initial "end of 3rd quarter" release estimate might be more realistic now :(
 
newegg still doesn't have it :( I thought they said end of August? It's now September 1st.
 
I'll bet this week they'll have it in. They've added a new case to the inventory yesterday and today, one of which was the red lian-li test bench.

so much for my wednesday prediction :confused:

Here are the dimensions:
W x H x D
PC-A05NB 8.27" x 15.0" x 19.29"
PC-V354 9.65" x 12.6" x 16.54"

I was considering the PC-A05, but it's got lousy cooling and too many 5.25 bays. You can fix the lousy cooling by adding an alternative top that has a 140mm fan, but that's another $40+ and it is OOS everywhere.

I like the PC-V354 because it has that top 140mm fan out of the box, 7 harddrive slots and saves space with only 5.25 bay.

Just purchased. came to $173.39 shipped. I've been waiting since the middle of august for one of these, i bit out of impatience (and first dibs :D) I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives if people want. I have an H70 to install in it. Since people are curious about weather or not it will fit.

awesome, yes definitely post pics! if it fits the h70 it'll fir the h50 as well and should make for a great smaller and hopefully cooler alternative to the a05
 
Ebay member since October 2008 and no feedback? Seems a bit shady to me...
 
Yeah, I noticed that too, but took the risk. I sent him a message and he responded pretty quick.

I asked when he would ship, and responded with today and the tracking number. so in 4-9 days I should have the case (or some korean knock-off that is made out of plastic)

I would consider taking the risk, but I'm going to be out of the country for the next 2 weeks; so I won't be able to verify the authenticity of the purchase.

Damn you Lian Li for not releasing it on schedule!!!
 
So I noticed you guys saw my listings on eBay. I can assure that these are all real, aluminum Lian Li cases made in Taiwan, not Korea. This last shipment with the PC-V354 and PC-Q11 (and more!) came in like a week ago (late even), so they're all fresh off the cargo ship. UPS picked up yours (Jbrow215) yesterday, so it should be on its way, though it might take a while because you're across the country from us. Unfortunately, we only have black ones left as of this morning. But yeah, let me know if you have any concerns.

Oh yeah, rohcky, I registered the account in '08, but only just started selling online this past month. ;)

just got my v354 yesterday from phantastic. looks hella nice :D the only problem is i cant post pics right away since i dont have my camera :O

I got my UPS tracking number and hope to get shipment by Friday. Will update thread with pics if this "new seller" is for real and "IF" I receive the case as stated on eBay description.

Has anyone else received their case from the eBay seller "PhantomPCS?" I am very tempted to order as I have been waiting for this case, but am hesitant having had $900.00 recently stolen from my account (I got it back).

He is legit. I noticed it was coming from Bellevue, WA, and I live in Seattle so we met up at the mall and I paid in cash and he gave me the case. I was running in a temp case with the following specs:

Thank you for the reply and the info about your recent purchase experience. As for me, the proof is in the pudding, to quote that old cliché.

By the way, it's now Tuesday evening (Sept 7), around 8:05 PM (Pacific Time), and there's still not even one eBay feedback on phantompcs' profile. If I were him/her, I would have given you a major cash discount, but still have your transaction be logged on eBay in order to have phantompcs' first feedback include very glowing remarks to help provide credibility for others who are apprehensive to purchase from a seller who doesn't have any feedback at all. That would've been one of a number of apropos selling strategies I would have done to increase sales.

Hi gist901,

Excellent choices for your setup. The plan for your custom setup supports the old English proverb/idiom which states that "Great Minds Think Alike". ;) just kidding.

Anyway, I plan to use the XFX HD 5850 as my main graphics rendering device. But I'm hoping that your exact setup plan will allow for an additional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB to be added where it can mainly be used as a dedicated CUDA parallel processing/computing engine for Adobe Premiere CS5 with the Mercury Playback Engine. It would be nice to also use the GTX 460 as a dedicated PhysX card for a few games out there.

Are you also considering liquid cooling the GPUs? Possibly with Coolit's Omni ALC GPU Cooler when they come out with the cooling plate-block for the 5850 and GTX 460?

I received my Lian Li PC-V354 Silver Micro-ATX case today from the eBay seller listed as phantompcs. It's exactly as described on the eBay listing and exactly as I expected from the specifications on the Lian Li company website at lian-li.com (for the PC-V354). I screwed up with respect to the pics that I've taken earlier using my old PDA cell phone that I don't use anymore, but pulled it out for this occasion since I can't find my digital camera. I started to take the pics in regular size resolution and than accidentally switched to 5 to 7KB icon size pics. Well, you'll see what I mean with the unedited pics below. I'll retake them in regular size tomorrow in the daylight.

Anyway, I'll go onto eBay and give "phantompcs" excellent ratings for his/her first eBay feedback, if he hasn't already received his first feedback as of the time of this posting.
