WoW crazt talent tree changes coming in Cataclysm

God forbid you have to put anything into something to get something in return.

It's blatantly obvious that Blizz is just in the milk money mode for the last few years with WoW. There's been nothing but dumbing down of content and every aspect of the game, so the facebook farmville crowd can do everything anyone else ever could.

Strategies gone
CC gone
etc etc.

Strategies are gone? What does that even mean? If you are referring to raid strats you can thank Youtube and the like for that.

CC is coming back in Cata. Sup?

etc etc. You didn't even mention $25 mounts or $10 pets which is almost pure profit.

I'm still skeptical about CC coming back in Cata simply because random dungeons would become a nightmare to do on a regular basis since you'll have to be lucky enough to get classes with viable CC.

Furthermore, if they continue with their trend to trickle raid gear down to the baseline, as new raids come out, players will just start overpowering dungeons to the point of WotLK again. So if there will be a sense of requiring CC early in the game, it most certainly won't exist later on.

And I hope that Heroics won't be like TBC again. Then again, with a more knowledgeable and brave playerbase (no longer afraid to hop into heroics), it may not be as bad.

Every class is getting nerfed, nerfed in the sense they are bringing back the days of old with mechanics. They don't want it to be what EQ turned into (thank god) they actually want to keep some depth to character, which is why CC is coming back as being viable other then for PVP.

Someone said earlier be thankful you aren't a shaman, this is true. The character developers haven't had a clue as what to do with shaman's since BC. In BC they wanted them healers and then maybe as the rogue-style DPS, in Wrath they wanted them the utility melee DPS but with no real identity, but at the end they wanted them to be a spell DPS and almost patched them to be a really good healer.

Now theres nothing in Cata to say they want to be good at anything... they still don't have CC (hex is funny and not CC) they need a better DPS line or at least give them a cool healing spell again.

From what I understand, they already have the baseline stats for endgame raid gear in mind (Deathwing) so gear scaling will be a known quality and not something they have to worry about as people progress. Combined with rapid threat decay and I'm assuming new or more powerful instance mob abilities that require they be CC'ed/single targeted quickly or shit hits the fan.

While I'm sure there will be the token heroic or two that you can breeze through, I'm thinking a lot will be heroic HoR difficult as in if your tanking, dps, or healers are slacking wiping becomes a large possibility. Of course this is just guess work at the moment since we haven't seen a whole lot of new content and player's talents are still being worked on.

The only thing that concerns me about running heroics and the like in Cata is how big of a time sink they might turn into compared to WotLK.

I hope they bring back more emphasis on 5 mans with cata. One of the biggest problems with WoTLK was that you could basically just walk right into the first raid within minutes of dinging 80.

I think they had the right idea with BC and getting the kara key. They need to stop giving in to the crybabies on the forums that want everything for free.

As long as it never becomes like Everquest where you were lucky to see half the content in any expansion before a new one came out, and when the new one came out..no one went back to the old stuff on any kind of frequent basis. So you move on to the new expansion with everyone else...and never see half of it before the next new content comes out. Meanwhile the base armor keeps going up each expansion, so you're better off if you just skip as much old content as possible to put yourself into a better chance of seeing any non-soloable or small group do-able content.

Just doesn't make sense to have content being generated where the majority of people never experience it until they are so much stronger than it that they can do it without a raid. And it pisses people off when they stop to think about it, they pay the same as everyone else but don't get to see half of what they bought. And when they start figuring that out, they are more likely to leave their sub canceled when new expansions come out...because they aren't being considered it's in design and have a stack full of expansions that prove it.

This is just the continual consolization and dumbing down of everything. I'm not a fan of that sorry. You don't want to actually work for the character. You just want all the epics and end game spells/abilities.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a game to be fun. But you can't expect everything to be handed to you. Well at least that's how it WAS. Leveling sucked and it was just dealt with. Now everything is a rush to 80 to farm epics. How is that fun?

Also. I have a lot more fond memories of leveling with friends than doing end-game with friends.

I have played since the release of the game. I don't see how this is dumbing down of the game. Everyone still has to learn how to play their characters. Now they just have longer to figure it out since they are getting abilities earlier than they used to. I fail to see how that is dumbing things down. If anything it is helping players learn how to play at an earlier level. Leveling did suck in many aspects and Blizzard is trying to make leveling fun again. I never expect anything to be handed to me but this idea of having to work in a game is rediculous.
