So I want to ask what processor is best for my situation, why do I have to pick AMD or Intel thread?

Why isn't there a Processor thread, just like there are a Video Card, and Motherboard threads?

Flip a damn coin or something, or wuss out and go to General Hardware. This is [H]ardOCP. If you think Intel might be better for you, post in the AMD section just to make them justify changing your mind and vice versa. Actually it is pretty easy, if you are poor - AMD, if you have money Intel. Otherwise PM Kyle Bennett and ask him, if you dare. 2.6 Years ???

OK sorry, I was screwing with you a little bit. No hard feelings ?

The forums are set up this way because they are set up this way and who the heck are you to come around and upset the apple cart ? It has been the way it is since long before you got here and will likely be this way long after we both are gone. There are some things that just need to be separated without a catch all for people that have no clue like video (Have you read the posts in there ? Holy jumping Jesus what a snake pit and vast stinking pool of "who is the best " whiners that cant even decide from a choice of two major camps. Wow 2 choices. I mean the change of being correct is the same as being wrong. That is about as fair as it can be. And don't even get me started on mainboards. There one can almost see the need for a catchall as apparently only 1% of the users even know there is a place on Intel.com you can see chipset specs. And it is not like we don't have a "other" CPU forum for the people that like to play with toy CPUs. So in conclusion, man up and post. We don't give a rats ass. Pick one, see what happens and if you are not happy close the thread and try the other forum. If necessary chug a pint of cheap vodka first. (most of us do).

Ok I was screwing with you some more. Seriously pick a forum or OCing an Cooling even if you do not intend to OC. It is really set up this way so as to give the mods something to do, moving posts to the right forum, else we will just sit around all day and get so toasted we can not even find spellcheck.

OHHH Crap, this is not even one of my forums, see. nobody cares.
