Eh I can kinda see what he's saying, but some of us are just OCD.

I'm also sitting in front of a big window...

There's a mess of cables underneath but you can't see them when you're using it so I don't really care :p

(Older pic... )

Very nice setup. What speakers are those? I have been looking for a nice set of speakers that aren't too huge to place on my desk.

My setup is kept clean for the most part. Not OCD. but there are a mess of cables behind and under my desk. There's just no way around it. Especially if you have a lot of stuff to hook up.

I've tried to conceal them as best I could , but in the end just said screw it. It's not worth it. What a pain in the ass it is when you move something, replace, add new. It's certainly a lot easier to just drop a cord behind the desk and just plug it in than to UN-wrap your bundle of cables you spent hours trying to conceal just to get to one cable out. My head is always above the table. so for me personaly . I dont give a crap what it looks like down there.

Just my 2 cents

Here's an update.
I just got my Bose GS 321 for half the price of retail.
Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should get next?
(Another 40" is not an option :])

I love the $2.5k worth of electronic goodies with a $5 walmart special clock radio!

So does anyone have a setup, where they ripped apart their walls and such, to make their setup more clean? I've wanted to strip my walls down, just to put build in surge protectors and have network cables in the walls.

The problem is, I'm in an apartment and I have yet to have a landlord that will let me do such. I try to talk them into letting me do it, but to lower my rent for a few months. Since I'm upgrading their house/apt, I think I should get a break in rent costs, if I'm going to pay for the materials and do the work.

More pics of the guitar? any amp? :)
Also, what sub and speakers are those?

hey tommy, got no more pictures of the guitar, but i will take a few more pics...
Gibson les paul guitar, AMP Marshall VS100R Valvestate.
subwoofer Sony (receiver sony 5.2)

Can you open your windows and toss paper airplanes? If you can, that's an awesome apt.

I do have a 17" lcd monitor that I would hook up every now and then but its annoying that it doesn't match up with my 24".

Man, I really enjoy this thread... In the past few pages I really like Le_Bec's easy and minimal setup. Along with the windows view, I am envious....

It's giving me ideas for my own setup, really cool thread! Keep em comin, mine will come sooner or later when I finish

I bought the wood "done" so to speak, all i had to do was oil it and sand it for a couple of days to make it a little darker. The legs are actually Ikea called "Moliden" so i'd say it's 50% custom :) Glad you like it.

Sorry about the cables btw, gonna try and hide them.
