Anyways I just called hp and they said that the promotion will most likely last for 3 to 6 months. So I am in no rush, I am going to wait for some reviews then decide to make my purchase.

A triple monitor setup means there are two borders in the middle of the picture. Meh.I, like many others, are also quite curious about this display. It seems to be an excellent LCD specs wise at the price point but we all won't really know until pics and reviews are out.
Also, how would a dual monitor ZR24w setup match up against a triple monitor 20WMGX2 setup? (This is what I am deciding over right now)

It sounds like they charged you shipping? Or are you in a super high tax rate state? A few of us mentioned earlier that if you call in the order, they shouldn't charge you shipping - though you may have to ask for free shipping. And forget fast delivery, which they will charge you for, (unless you live very far from their distribution centers and need it "yesterday") - mine is (according to UPS) reaching me in less than 48 hours from order time with free shipping.well, i couldn't wait. ordered from HP. total about 470 (tax! ouch!)
Overscan can be useful when showing material (usually TV broadcasts over cable or satellite) that has "garbage" along the top. Since TVs all used to have overscan, content generators/providers didn't used to worry about what was shown on the very edges of the screen. So there was often some distortion/static/garbage along the top. An overscan mode allows this junk to be hidden if need be.Anyone notice that in the options for `Custom Scaling', the third option is `Overscan' (Supports over-scanning of the image for DVI-D and DisplayPort inputs), instead of the 1:1 mode that the LP2475W has? Anyone seen this before? I was nearly about to place an order for the monitor last night when I saw this and made me wonder just what it was. I've spent quite a while trying to minimize overscan on my CRTs, so I'm not entirely sure why someone could rather have that instead of a 1:1 mode? Or am I just crazy and misunderstanding something?
mine will be here tomorrow morning. will post my findings!
also, would like to see comparisons to the lp2475w .... as i never got mine. it might be nice having a wide gamut monitor alongside an srgb one for print purposes
It's not available in Europe afaik. It isn't even listed on HP's french site.(Oops, not sure where this post went the first time I posted it.)
I am surprised that no reviews are coming out of Europe, as I think they have had it available for a week or so. At least I can't find any...

LOLNow look what y'all did--I got my boss to buy me one for the officeI promised that if it sucked and I hated it that I would pay for return shipping and pack it up myself. Feels like a much smaller gamble when it's somebody else's money buying the monitor.
Anyone's zr24w's ship from cost central yet?
Just got off the phone and they told me it should ship today??? I ordered after you by about 10hrs if I remember right... I did only buy one though. If I get any shipping info I will let you know for sure.
Why in the heck are you guys ordering from an outfit like Cost Central when you can order it direct from HP for $425 with free shipping and get a 30 day money back guarantee no questions asked? You would rather order from a company that would "send a tech out" if there happened to be dead pixels and the like? I don't get it.
