If i were you i'd get the M-Audio AV 40's

Gaming, any music will be put through my Harman.

The M-Audio AV 40's are good but right at the top of your budget. If you have a decent sound card then i definitely suggest them.

Rated frequency response isn't everything and realistically means very little.
