@Mccaula718

Someone needs a little help with their cables

It might not be "clean" but there's no blockage of airflow. Motherboard is too small to route everything behind the case. Would have to get extensions for all 6 of my fans and a sata dvd burner to make it look cleaner. Not worth the hassle with no window

Dude, is your laptop bungee corded to the desk? haha.
Haha I just used two large gum bands to connect the cooler to the bottom of the laptop. I move around with it a lot and can't think of a better way to keep it attached.

Excellent spot for the printer, all the easier to kick it when it disobeys you.

Haha yeah i hate having it there, I'm tempted to just disconnect it, keep it out of sight, and go through the hassle of plugging it in every time I need to print, because it really bugs the shit out of me.

I went to IKEA the other day excuse the crappy cell phone pics if i get my hands on a better camera ill take some new pictures.
One light on

Tell me what you think.

For your consideration, my 2010 home office.

This is my first attempt at stitching:

How do you like your AV40's?

I haven't heard them yet but have been told they are excellent.

The bass is a bit boomy; I've also had some poor luck with the tweeter on the slave speaker going out or becoming weak, but overall they sound quite nice with flac files.

20" + 24" + 23" .. all 1200 vertical res, 5440x1200 total ;)

Gonna polish the setup some more, currently running the 20" off a dedicated comp, should probably get my ass into gear and slap more ram into the WS, install win7 and put another gfx card into it...

Terrbile quality on the image, but I think you get the idea. Very happy with my new 24.6" Hanns-G as well, it dwarfs the 19" next to it, which used to be my main.

nice sauna!

nice setup marx0r - I think it's probably the lack of stuff on the walls, but it looks very clean. nice desk surface too

I love how clean that is ^^ Lack of stuff on the walls definitely adds to the cleanliness, but the desk surface and lack of a big wire mess makes it look great, too :)

I've been lurking these threads since, oh, 2004 or so, and I spent the better part of today cleaning my desk/installing those lights under the top shelf, so:

This system is out-of-date, and I intend to upgrade sometime this year. Of course, I said that last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, so...we'll see.

nice setup - really like the lights. You need a bigger screen to fill more of that space though! cable management isn't perfect, but better than mine by far so I shouldn't talk :D

Thanks, the lights were $6 each at Home Depot and they're super bright. My plan is a 27" iMac filling that space, but, well, that's more money than I have right now. :( Glad you liked it though!:D

If you have time, I think a picture of the new lights on would be great, as I am contemplating doing the same thing. :)

Here, these are with no other lights on and no flash. They don't really do the lights justice, but take my word for it--they do the job.

I got these, but I'm sure any similar LED spotlights would work just as well.

The one thing I wish I could do was turn them all on/off at the same time. Maybe next year. :D

i have them under my kitchen unit i just ran them to an old mobile phone charger works great

they come apart very easy.
the charger i used was an old nokia charger as they tend to run about 3.6 volts.
the lights i have run off 3x 1.5volt pencil battery's well charging allot of them would be a pain.
so i basically cut the 2 pin connector off the end of the charger stuck my volt meter on the wires to find + and - i found the white wire was + and black to be - .
i Tuck the lamps apart and solderd the wire onto the battery's terminals and looped to the next in parallel and so on.
i can not take pictures.
i am taking them apart at moment for the LED's going to make them into strip light with some quarter dowel

just got to wait till payday to get some 3mm copper tape to solder the wires to

now if you wonted to be realy crafty you could use the 5volt rail on your pc psu but then you would need a resister to bring the voltage down from 5 to 3.6 volts that i found the led's to be.
also got 100 3mm leds i got off ebay for the stairs lol still to make them yet plus need a couple of solar panels for them but that a diff story
