I have that receiver sitting in my closet...it's shockingly awful.

For 5.1 its reeeeaaalllly awful, the way it directs power for 5.1 is strange, will never use it for that ever again. But for 2.1 it's damn good, powerful and good quality.

Whats with all this "when I was 12 " posts? Sounds like half the board has hit midlife crisis.

Well my two bits...when I was 12 there were barely any computers let alone PCs. When I was 16 I was punching holes in cards to send to the school board computer. When I was 18 some unknown company named Apple made something called an Apple II. Back then the languages were Cobol and Waterloo Fortran IV or WATFIV. As if anybody cares.

@jtvd78...looks like a nice setup. Good luck on your Core i7 build mate.
Haha. Thanks

My 2010 workstation so far. Still yet to buy some shelves. Not sure what else to buy really.

I used it temporarily in a 2 channel rig powering a variety of Klipsch, Polk, and B&W speakers and I was pretty disappointed with it's performance. To me it was pretty typical of consumer Sony.

Actually, he said "I present myself, my name is GaByLaN_92, I'm from ARGENTINA. I belong to the MaximoTEC Forum.

GaByLaN_92 - tus fotografias aparecen muy pequeñas. Quizas el problema existe con imageshack.

Translation - pics are too small. check imageshack settings.

Las fotografias aparecen pequeñas porque escogi la opcion THUMBNAIL (Vistas en miniatura) si das click en las imagenes aparecen mas grande.
Es para mantener ordenado el foro y no deformar el post.

Thanks for the "translations" xD

Google literal translation:
The photographs are small because THUMBNAIL chose option. If you click on the images, they appear larger.

It ordered the board to maintain and not distort the post.

Doy el click y nada sucede. Quizas no debes de usar esa opcion

Translation - I click the image but the pic does not get bigger. Perhaps you shouldn't use the thumbnail setting.

Bazinga xD :D

here are some pics I took late last year. I am currently taking apart as I am closing on a house at the end of this month and will be moving there. I have not decided if I am going to set it up again like i had it. I bought a birch colored jerker to match my wifes birch color jerker table which she doesn't need anymore since school is over. Anyways here are the pics if what it looked like until this evening. New pics will be posted once I am settled in my new place.

Seems brilliant to me, i've had an Onkyo receiver and a Cambridge Azur amp in it's place and the Camridge sounded 'crisper' but apart from that it stood up very well! Shame the Azur wasn't mine :(
I know what you mean by "pretty typical of consumer Sony" I have owned stereo systems and other amps and headphones from sony, all were barely OK, and the only reason they are close to OK is that they are a big name.

I got my new LCD and I figured I would update my setup. The new monitor is the Acer B233HU. There is also a Firebird 802, PS3, iPhone, SteelSeries Xai, PureTrak Talent, Seagate GO!, and Creative Vado in the pictures. Oh, and the Creative SB Arena Headset on the wall. -_-

just did a panoramic of my new room for this semester. i let photoshop stitch it automatically so there are a few messups (but it still came out good for about 15 pictures into one). unfortunately my setup is the one on the right. i'm proud of it but, aside my roommates, it looks terribly inferior.

bikertrash, that's a really lovely wallpaper layout across your monitors. It's tricky to find a way to make monitors of different sizes look nice with a single wallpaper across them, but you pulled it off really well - good alignment and everything.

When I was 16 I stored my programs on paper tape that we then fed back into the teletype machine that was linked to a computer at a local college. Our phone to dial into the modem still had a rotary dial ;)

I'm 18, I'm not old.

Here is in the end of 2009. It hasn't changed much since then except that I am in a new room and I have one more piece of furniture.
