1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Mainly gaming(WoW, Aion, MW2, and future titles) also web browsing some Adobe Dreamweaver and Illustrator.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

$1000 bucks Tax and shipping included.

3) Where do you live?

Massachusetts, Microcenter within 30 miles.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.

Everything but a mouse, monitor, keyboard, and speakers

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

Mouse monitor keyboard and speakers.

6) Will you be overclocking?

Yes but nothing to extreme.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?

Be running a 19inch, then will be purchasing a 24inch + not to long from now, will probably run a dual monitor configuration when i have both.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

This coming Thursday at the latest.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.

Crossfire/SLI capability is a plus.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?

Yes Windows 7 64-bit

Only thing that I ask is if you include the HAF 932 Full-Tower into the budget because I have plans on modding the case, and also the Corsair H50 cooler, unless you think there is a better but more affordable option out there.

I have looked at i5/Phenom II builds but im not sure which would be best for my current needs, id also rather sacrifice processor speeds for a better GPU considering in not a heavy mutlitasker. Thanks for all you guys help in advance and i will be putting up a worklog once i get all the parts in order!

This is what i have mapped out so far, just seing if you guys can come up with somthing better:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181 - Samsung F3 Spinpoint 500 gb - $54.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131398 - Asus EVO AM3 AMD 785G - $99.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 - Corsair 650TX PSU - $89.99, $10 MIR

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231275 - G. Skill Ripjaws 4GB 1333 - $94.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181010 - Corsair H50 Hydro Series - $77.89

Combo Deal: Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, XFX HD5770

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.314679 - CPU+ GPU - $324.99l

Total: $750 without the HAF factored in. with the HAF will put me at 890 shipped.

Optical Drive, cheap not really concerned with it in the build, Really the big thing is the Case and PSU + H50 thats really breaking my budget and not allowing me to get a 5850, so was seeing if you guys had a better configuration that might allow me to do it, i really want a case that can move a lot of air and have a lot of room thats why i went with the HAF but its also whats limiting my my budget on the video card, should i scrap the Case and opt for somthing cheaper to get a 5850?

It looks like you've really thought this build through. Dual monitors are worth it! I've been using 2 monitors for about 2 years now and I have a hard time using 1 monitor.

Is this your first build?

This will be my 3rd build, but the last build I did and my current computer is a 6 year old P4, and guess what its time for a new rig badly haha

FYI, Micro Center still has the Intel Core i5 750 for $150 in-store, and you can price-match the motherboard with a printout of a current NewEgg shopping cart.

If you're willing to go air cooling, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus is a better bang-per-buck performer (in terms of overclocking) than the H50. The H50 can handle a modest overclock, but it's better served as a quiet cooling solution.

I installed a Cooler Master Hyper N520 this weekend and i'm getting awesome temps on a 550. 21-25 at idle 35-37 full load.

didnt realize you could bring a print out and the Microcenter would match it very nice!

Hels: I would love to go with the 5850 just not sure i can get it into my budget, thats what i was coming to you guys for suggestions! haha

Thx for the help everyone i think ill be ordering all the parts later on today, going to Opt for a Phenom Build with the Hyper 212 that Tiraides suggest with some Arctic Silver 5, and probably in a push pull.

Total i think the build is going to run me 880 so i might just bump it up to a 5850, or add an additional hard drive... well see how i feel in the next coming hours haha
