For those not understanding why I'm happy to see this picture... videocard launches tend to go like this: Rumors of existence---->Random hints such as "You'll be pleasantly surprised" by AMD/nVidia---->First watermarked undetailed picture----->More pictures----->picture with no heatsink---->a couple leaked supposed specs---->finally a clear picture with some basic specs----->specs--->launch!!!! It's due out in September by all accounts so the info should be swift from here ;).

longer than HD 2900XT, hoping they really mean XT, and not XTX :(

also, holy hell at that watermark, for a minute I thought it was an "image not found" slide...
 
I believe this is just a premade(ish) big fat PCB with everything on it, therefore the two sixpin connectors and nasty length, just to get the core and such onto a PCB and running.
 
If it's longer than 9.5 inches, that makes it a 10.5. I don't think an 11 would even fit. If it's 10.5 or 11 inches long, I am markedly less interested.

Hearing more rumors, that the chip may be a Multi-Chip-Module, which would be very interesting if true...
 
hopefully it's either a MCM like the 4870x2, or an engineering sample because that is one ugly card. lol
 
That's a funky looking cooler, assuming what I'm seeing is the actual cooler and not part of the stupid ass obtrusive watermark.
 
its an unmarked cooler.. its going to look ugly.. hell it looks like like the ugly ass heatsink on the 4870x2 and the gtx 295 when those first came out.. once they get some sticker logo's on it then it should look better..

Heh, that was ATI's fans wet dream when R600 debuted. They thought that one was going to save the day and beat the 8800 GTX. It didn't debut with the XTX suffix though. It was the HD 2900 XT 1 GB GDDR4, which failed flat as we all know.
