Let’s see, you can’t get an iPhone app showing boobies but you can get an app to help you find weed. I guess I’m not surprised by an iToke app, we are after all talking about Apple here. ;)

You now have the ability to access all the resources you need at your finger tips to access medical cannabis in states that have approved medical cannabis legislation. Pull out your iPhone or iPod Touch, download the "Cannabis" application from iTunes and locate a medical cannabis doctor near you.

I can't see any possible ways to abuse this, can you?

And the award for new "most requested, scratch that... most DEMANDED prescription" goes to...

An medical weed is abused as it is, this just makes it easier for the junkies to get their drugs.

Yes, because Pot is such a dangerous drugs. "911 how can I help you?" My neighbors a Marijuana junky and he's wandering around the neighborhood with a bag of Doritos."

My God, it's hard to believe that there are so many people who buy into the entire Reefer madness crap. It's no more dangerous than Alcohol.

This app is no different than an app that shows where the nearest pharmacy is....you do realize that it's only got data for states where Medicial Marijuana is legal, right?

He is wondering around? Id think he would sit in his house and not bother anyone

...less dangerous than alcohol. Alcohol can kill you, weed cant.

weed... cure for the economy, make huge money taxing it, save a bunch of money from not having to police it.

"Now to teach you boys a lesson, me and officer Rabbit are going to stand here while you boys smoke the whole bag." - Super Troopers

(Yeah, I can see it now... :D )

Cannabis should be fully legalized, we need it for many important reasons. This reminds me to reserve that trip to Amsterdam.

You don't think they're making huge amounts of money off of it now? Seizing everything the "dealer" owns and selling it at auction for 1/4-1/2 value bring a lot of money in. That's money that doesn't have to be accounted for, or given to children's medical funding, or schools.

Considering how NSAIDs are coming under fire lately, maybe burning some cannabis might be an alternative in the near future?

I'm sure medical mj users already know where to score. :p

Go to Portugal...everything is legal there....and the chicks are hotter.

Meh, as it's been said, certain cultures love to pour money into companies like Birkenstock and Apple... those same cultures tend to like their weed.

As for the drug debate... in my state/region, they have outlawed cigarettes in all public establishments and yet put pressure on police to NOT enforce drug laws related to marijuana. It's really a double standard either way.

I knew of two pregnant women (well... they're no longer pregnant) here who decry smoking cigarettes by anyone with a fetus attached... and yet will smoke marijuana 'medicinally' to help their morning sickness (this caused an argument among mothers that we stayed well out of).

If marijuana were a medicine, they'd isolate the medicinal compounds and make a pill out of it (I'm serious, they should). I'm all fine with making it legal and taxing the crap out of it; all those hippies supporting Phillip-Morris has a certain irony that I can appreciate. But a doctor who prescribes someone who does not have a terminal illness (in which case I can understand sacrificing the lungs to have you live longer) to burn something and inhale it is more accurately describes as a 'shaman' or 'medicine man'.

at the risk of being labeled a douchebag, my ex would take a couple hits for her morning sickness(more like puke everything all the time sickness) with our first born, perfectly healthy smart little girl came out, none worse for her mom's actions(who went to school to be a midwife by the way).

With my son she refused the weed and took suppositories from her doctor throughout, son was born with a cleft palet, three surgeries later he is okay now.

There are studies that refute that marijuana is damaging to a developing fetus, and I truly believe my son would have been okay if it weren't for the chemicals his mom took to be able to keep food down.

and marijuana smoke is not comparable to cig smoke, not even close, just because you smoke both doesn't mean a thing, people smoke meth too, doesn't mean it's the same as smoking cigs.

and we need to stop refining shit out of plants and natural substances, bullshit that man can improve on mother nature.

just let us use the plants without chemically refining shit, that's just arrogant stupidity

Hey, it doesn't list TJ on the corner of 59th and Wells. He told me he sells medical marijuana.

Maybe he's just not in the database yet. /shrugs.

this^ the problem with marijuana isn't that it has psychoactive properties, but that coincidentally 98% of the people who smoke it are douchebags.

i read the post you quoted and said to myself "this"

Gotta love those generalizations. They make everything so much simpler.

i've met only a handful of people who were cool when high, the rest of them turn into complete morons, i feel the same way about alcohol too.

I've never met a cool person who makes generalizations about any group of people. Never.

and i suppose you're a peta supporter and a tree hugger?

it's not my fault marijuana happens to be the drug of choice for people with the iq of a brick.

IMHO adding another legal mood altering drug into the general population who already pretty much brain dead is a bad idea. Last thing we need is more stupid teenagers, don't we have enough already?

weed... cure for the economy, make huge money taxing it, save a bunch of money from not having to police it.

The regulation alone would hardly make it any more productive than how we tax alcohol and cigarettes.

You don't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed yourself.

This. If they have a prescription for said "medicine" I'd be pretty certain they'd know where to get it. Unless maybe they're in one of the other states..? But wouldn't you maybe need a different prescription... for that state?

Which is why I hate pot. Nothing good comes from it.
