SST SG05B
Zotac 9300ITX D-E Wifi
E8400
Corsair DDR2 Twin2X 4096 6400C5 4Gb
HDD???
GTS250
Samsung 2243BW LCD
X530 spkrs

thanks in advance for your constructive comments :D

I recommend this HDD since it's only 10% slower than a Velociraptor drive but its $100 less:
$75 - Western Digital WD6401AALS 640GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Consider getting something with a bit more punch than the Logitech speakers you have now, then head over to the Computer Audio forum for some recommendations.

Otherwise, once you get an HDD I think your build is great.

I built the same thing except with different memory and hard drive. And of course monitor and speakers.
Runs great pretty quiet especially when gaming.

Be cautious about the GTS250 you use. Go for the EVGA. It's got a 6-pin power, and is relatively short. I bought a Zotac GTS250 to go with my 9300-ITX and when I got it home I realized it wouldn't fit in my SG05, so I had to cut out the entire front metal plate, to give it just enough room to slide in behind the front plastic cover. I also had to jimmy-rig the PSU wires to handle the 8-pin on the Zotac. I had to split it into dual 6 pins, and connect the PSU 6 pin, and then split the remaining 6 pin into dual 4-pins, which then connected to those on the PSU. Quite a lot of wires and modding for my taste, but it worked in the end. I would recommend saving yourself the hastle though.

I have a Sugo 5 . Put the zotac 9300 board in with an e8500 and a 4830 vid card...bought parts before GTS250's came out. Using a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...E&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=shuriken for cpu heatsink. I measure the case length at @10.5 inchs. My 4830 vid card is 9.25", then add in the connector at the end since ATI has it there instead of on top like NV and I have just under a 10" card. It fits fine. Even have a little more space to play with.

The GTS 250 at every site I saw is listed as being 9". eVGA, Zotac...both look like reference design to me. Don't know why you had to cut the case to fit it. Going by specs given for reference design, it should be easier to fit then my 4830 card, but I don't have first hand account of it.

Loaded up windows 7 RC, loaded great (actual technet download, not torrents/warez). COuld not use autoplay to autoinstall all drivers from the disk, had to install each manually, but other then that, worked fine using Vista 64 drivers. However, windows 7 would not work with multiplicty, something I have to have working, so I formatted and installed vista 64.

An itx build for a sim computer? Sounds pretty limiting to me, unless you just play stuff like il2.

My GTS250 wasn't reference....I measured it at 10.25"

Yeah, some of the GTS 250 cards (depending on the manufacturer) still use the old 9800GTX+ reference design, hence the longer pcb. Kind of a bummer really..:(

Unless you need the power of the GTS250 look at the HD 4670. It's short and requires no extra power and sits between the HD 3850 and HD 3870 & 9600GT in terms of performance. Not to mention they put out a lot less heat and the silent ones might be a nice touch.

It's definitely more than 10% slower and it is also noiser than the Velociraptor.

I recommend the standard SE 640GB, because it is effectively silent, beats the black in several tests and is a couple bucks cheaper.
