Our time is coming and we have to make a big splash.KZ2 is here friday and I feel that now we truely have a great game to brag about.This is the PS3 version of super duper zomgwtfhmdsbugbbqg fps.

Hopefully everything goes good with the servers,not alot of glitches and or bugs in this game early on.I was getting so damn tired of playing cod4 that I sold it for $20 and I paid in full for KZ2 like 3 weeks ago.

My psn is beechnut1 so if any of you guys want to add me as a friend please feel free to send me a FR.I play with a mic and I am very team oriented.
I dont play to lose but it does happen.I believe in teamwork and it is hard to find good people on psn that play this way.Most of the people on there play like noobs and seem to not have any common sense when it comes to playing a team game.Their is no i in team but there is a i in losing the game.

Thanks for looking and please feel free to add what games you are looking forward to on the PS3 as I dont know alot about what is coming out in the near future.
 
I'll be playing all day (and night) Friday probably, but mostly campaign....I'll own online with my clan later (check sig).
 
I am so glad that KZ2 is coming out friday. I am sick of cod:waw and found myself playing the good ol cod4 again. I am probably going to sell my cod waw on ebay and use that to buy little big planet or street fighter iv. i am looking forward to codmw2 which should be coming out in q4 this year and am glad that infinity ward is making it.

This thread just reiterates the sad reality that some fanboys feel the need for some kind of vindication of their purchase. The whole "this game will save the ps3 and I won't feel so dumb for buying one" (which is the only reason these kinds of threads seem to exist) attitude really is fascinating though...Some of us are perfectly happy with our PS3 and don't need that kind of reinforcement. Our time has come? We finally have a game to brag about? Sad...

Exactly my points...the ps3 has as many or more good games already out for it now as the 360 did at this point in its life, but you'd never know it from the killzone types.
 
This thread makes me a tad sad I spent $500 on a PS3. I will probably enjoy KZ2 though.

Picked up the game this afternoon, been playing a mix of singleplayer and multiplayer since (with a few hour break for Lost and rest lol).
The game is amazing. I haven't had this kind of multiplayer console fun since COD4. It's more difficult that COD4, though, with the weight to the guns (no the look isn't slow - it's the gun; when you get lighter guns, you'll understand) and whatnot.

Warzone (the default Online game mode) is genius. Instead of picking just one game type (although you CAN), Warzone picks one at random every 5 or so minutes until the match ends (default is 6 rounds, I believe). It keeps the action fresh and your team on their toes. But yeah... I can continue and repeat what every review has said so far, but the bottom line is:

Killzone 2 has delivered on the hype.

Resistance 2 had the same thing tho did it not?
 
I get my KZ2 tomorrow. Based on the MP beta and the SP demo, it hasn't reached the graphic hype whatsoever. Gameplay on the other hand is pretty tight and has matched the hype from what I have experienced so far.

BTW, the time for PS3 owners came when they bought a PS3. My time came last March.
 
I'm one of these PS3 owners, and I suppose you're forgetting that some of us are not mouth-breathing fanboys. Indeed, some of us actually also own an Xbox 360 and/or a Wii, and find threads like this absolutely pathetic.

KZ2 looks really excellent, but the game should be standing on its own merits, not some sort of "OMG SUCK IT XBOTS" argument.

Hah, this is why I love having both systems. I use both in their own different ways... I'll be picking this game up too. Just looks like a great game to have, regardless if its on PS3 or 360.

Never have to worry about the endless fanboy debate.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it - it did. I beta tested it but never got the full game (had too many games already), completely slipped my mind. lol

Well, its still a great game mode, and coupled with the various classes you can pick, it really is awesome.

The online game has been steadily evolving since I played in rookie rooms. At first everyone had pretty much the same 2 weapons, and it was a "standard" Warzone affair. 2 or so matches in and some of us started unlocking new classes and weapons. Medics, Engineers, Saboteurs, etc... the online game is even better than before. :D
Can't wait to see some of the later unlocks, and unlock them myself.
 
I'm gonna rent it from Gamefly and if I like it I'll pay the $50 and keep it. I really liked the demo, but have to see how I feel about the full game.

FPS on PS3 sucks hard, not going to blow $50 on that.
Love my PS3, hate not having the precision and overall control a mouse + kb provides. That's all.

KZ2's style of gameplay seems to off-set the limitations of a controller better than other console FPS. At least that impression I get from the demo.

Anyway, have you tried you that FragFX thing?

Every other console game you say? Try UT3 on PS3 and you'll be happy, getting a huge patch on the 5th too adding shit loads.

Agreed. I have a PS3 & a 360 as well (had a Wii but sold it a few weeks ago) and the game should definitely be judged on it's own merits not "LOL!! XBOTS CNAT PLAY KZ2 LOLOLOL!" :rolleyes:

That being said, KZ2 really doesn't look all that special to me. Maybe I'm missing something but I'm just not feeling the hype around this game.
 
I like my PS3 but this game doesn't interest me. I hope to those that is does, that you will enjoy it.

My PS3 hasn't been doing much since MGS4 it's primarily a Blu-ray player and a Zune charger. I'll have something to play once Uncharted 2, or Kingdom Hearts 3 hit the shelves.

That being said MGS4 is the best console game I've played since this gen started.

kz2 is an overated piece of pap. the controls are one of the worse seen on a console fps shooter period and thats coming from a fps fanboy and a ps3 owner as well.

each to there own though so im happy that some of you enjoy the game. my only complaint about the game is its god awful lame controls which is a big negetive for me im afraid

this game needs to be released on the pc to truelly appreciate it. a shame the controls suck big time as said on my above post. why in gods name dont they allow k&m support!

The controls are not bad, they're different. Different does not equal bad. It takes some getting used to, but when someone like me who doesn't even like console FPS that much can get used to them I'd say most people used to console FPS shouldn't have a problem. You just have to wrap your mind around the idea of controlling how hard and how fast you move the analog sticks. Its not like most shooters and that isn't a bad thing. Some diversity in the genre is great, even if its just a minor thing.

That is what I think each time I play an FPS on a console, I would love to play them using a keyboard and mouse.
With the current DRM issues on the PC I would love to get all the FPSs for a console if they had key&mouse support.

Because it's not a twitch shooter.
The weapons/look speed have a "weight" to them to simulate the fact that these people are wearing at least a hundred lbs of armor and are wielding a heavy weapon as well.

AS I SAID EARLIER, when you get the lighter weapons (such as the SMG), you'll get a true grasp on how the look speed works - that's when I "got it" as well.
 
I always hear the "100 lbs" of armor argument. Sad that Seb and Co used that as a cop out

Unfortunately I agree with this. It's definitely a problem on both sides of the fence which exacerbate each other. Personally I own both a 360 and a PS3, along with a Wii. Hands down I love my PS3 the best, and that gets me alot of shit from people that just have 360s and think it can't be beat so I do understand the feeling that a game can vindicate alot of PS3 owners in that respect.

I wholeheartedly agree! There's a small number of games that I've played from start to finish on the 360 and PS3, and this was the first one to make the list, and I've finished it 3 times now.

Word! I would enjoy so many more console FPS's if they supported kb/mouse. I can use the 360 controller for FPS just fine (although I of course prefer kb/mouse) but the Playstation controller is abysmal.

On that note, can't wait to get my hands on KZ2 though :)
 
Ohh cmon, controls aren't too bad. You just gotta' set them up the way you want and change the sensitivity. I for one, suck with any game console controller and I found KZ2 to be pretty accessible. Give it a chance.
 
Set the controls to alternate 2 it will be like cod4 so it is alot easier.Turn up the sensitivity if need be.

Game play is awesome I just need to find some good people to play the game with.I only have 4 friends on PSN with the game and most of the time we dont play at the same time since we are in different time zones.If anyone on here cares to let me join your friends list drop your PSN on here and I can send you a request.

I just want to play with people who have a mic,play as a team and want to win.
