need
I have read the specs and it's amazing...http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=82&l3=644&l4=0&model=2090&modelmenu=1
I'm impressed actually...I've never had a gaming PC in my life ever...Thanks alot for the help I appreciate it
EDIT: I was wondering, what is LGA771 bracket?
EDIT2: The ASUS Z7S is a WorkStation Motherboard :| Can you explain why you chose that?
This is really confusing as everyone is telling me something different.. :S
Can anyone explain everything?
Well yeah...I need to know which motherboard is the best in performance and quality to get it So I thought I'd ask :|
And no Wizard, it's not a problem at all. I'm just working out my plans for every single part of the next PC I want, I already have a Sound Blaster® X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series, and an nVidia 7600 GS I think or whatever, it's fine but not the best I know...But it's good for me...And as you said, The HD4870...Add that too I'm also thinking of a Skulltrail motherboard...
Anyway, I'm still listening to you people, I'm still taking your suggestions, I just want to experience the best
Thanks

"the best gaming motherboard"
cost isnt an issue? Go with the X58 board from evga. Asus hasnt made an earth shattering motherboard in a while and EVGA's comes with a lifetime warrenty.
It supports SLI and crossfire so two HD4870X2's is an option if you want.
that really isn't going to help you in gaming over any of the other boards listed. You'd just be wasting money.
If you go with a server board you will be memory limited. The server boards use DDR2 which will be slower than DDR3. Personally I am going with the Asus RE2 with I7 Extreme and 6 or 12 GB of Corsair triple channel memory.
I really like dual cpu systems but for gaming it just doesn't cut it.
But really warranty aside, I see nothing the EVGA X58 3x SLI can do that the Rampage II Extreme can't.
The EVGA X58 can be about $60 cheaper. lol
Well aside from that.
