Google Maps Using Photoshop?

I am sure there is a perfectly rational explanation for this horrible Photoshop job done on a section of a golf course in Holland….I’m just not sure what that explanation is. They could have at least added shadows to the cloned trees. Any guess what they are hiding? Thanks to Ed Cabarles for sending me this one.
 
What are they hiding? Well, a rocket ship of course! What else does one need to hide?
 
It's just the meeting of two arial pictures. Is this really worthy of a [H] news article?

I don't think so man. I'm counting at least 8 instances of the same tree. It's easy to see if you look at the lighter part of the tree.


 
Also, I think the Live aerial shot is older because the golf course is still being built in that shot, so maybe whatever is hidden on Google Maps wasn't built yet at the time of the Live aerial photo.
 
Well, based on comparison with the image from live.com, either they aren't hiding anything and there is a completely innocent explanation for it, or they *are* hiding something and live.com simply did a much better job of it ;)
 
I think the pictures were taken in different years, look at the road markings and other land markers on both MS and Google maps.
 
Either it was a shotty sattlite imagery that was touched up or it's a covert installation that had to be covered.

Assuming that there is nothing on live could mean that live has better photochoppers.
 
google's photos look newer than lives. Lives it looks like they still building the golf course or they stopped taking care of it.
 
It's the Netherlands. What possible things could be growing there that they would want to hide?

(That's probably because the pictures on Live.com were taken before it was built) :D
 
Could be a bad plate. When I had to go over huge terrain databases, I had to go in and fix spots where the image was corrupted.
 
You just noticed google's use of the clone tool now? They do this all over the place, even places I have been. It's not hiding much that other than trees usually. The most common cause seems to be when the only pics they had for an area were winter/fall, and everything around it was spring/summer. So out comes the clone tool.

On the other hand, sometimes they ARE hiding things. Some make sense, others do not, and it certainly doesn't seem top be consistent.
 
So how do I get Google to hide MY grow-op with fake trees? I would be happy to share if that's what they want!

LOL, or those light spots are clusters of MJ plants that have been hung in the tree canopy! (ya ya, i know you can't actually see canopy grows from satellite.)
 
hmmm wonder what's in the aerial shots of Roswell... Area 51 huh.... wat's dat?

It's nothing, basically they disabled the ability to do a deep zoom in those areas, but you can still see there is a base there.

Not that it really matters, Area51 is no more.
 
Just looks like the same type of tree with a similar age/appearance. Nothing fishy to me.

stop with the whole "same type of tree" crap. it's already been pointed out that those eight light areas are IDENTICAL in shape and size.

i'm not saying i know what it is. i'm not really a fan of government conspiracies. all i know is that there was some cloning going on.
