So I just realized that yesterday was my 444th day being a part of the [H]orde & Folding@Home. And it got me wondering, how long have other people been involved...so...how long have you been???
 
according to EOC my first recorded unit was 01.01.04

Been folding off and on since October '06. Got into it again this April when I saw a news post on [H] and decided to register on the forum. :)

 
Longer than I can remember. However, due to my advanced years, that probably doesn't mean much. :(

 
Wow, that's awesome to see that people have been sticking with this cause for over 4 years now!!! That tells you how much of a community this place is!
 
According to EOC: 05.29.08

Been a rough month though, lots of downtime with upgrades :) Next month should have better PPD output.

 
I started around may 2005 but it's only since december 2006 that I'm folding more seriously with kicking VTEC into me in april 2007 with the release of the SMP client :D

 
I started folding when I joined this site 7 years ago; F@H G@H and UD. I havent folded much in the last year or two though. Man I used to love those old socket 7's.
 
None of the stats I can find go back far enough. If I remember correctly, it was somewhere around October of '03.

I think I asked this very question a while back. I think EOC just defaults to 01.01.04 as the earliest date. I have the same start date but i think that would be quite a coincidence.
 
Wow, that's incredible, so some people here have been doing it for 4 1/2 or more years, how awesome is that!!!
 
5/17/05 for me. Started with a lowly athlon tbird at 1.4ghz. It sucked for gromacs but tore through tinkers like butter. Soon afterwards I put linux on that and built a athlon xp-m machine. Mmmm 2.4ghz of single core folding power! Those XP mobile chips were freaking sweet.

I actually started folding for the [H]orde before I even joined the forum. Back then I was running G@H, though. I was a bit late into the F@H2 project which is the current F@H project. There are a number of people who have been around longer than me, though.

hrmm, i wonder if there is some other way to verify then? not sure? :confused:
 
I started in 2002 or 2003. I don't really remember when, and none of the tracker tools have this data in it.
 
Been folding for the [H]orde for 5 days as of today, but been doing various DC projects off and on for the past 7 years.
 
I just started DC with the [H]orde in February. Some of you people have some real dedication. Congrats!

 
10/06 - used to a long time ago too....

 
I started a couple of days after I registered here.
So ~5.8 years.

8/14/05, coming up on my 3rd anniversary folding for the [H]orde.

I started out last October with the console client running on two 2.8Ghz P4s. I plan on folding for as long as I can.


 
1/04/07 according to EOC.....Not all that long really, but I have no intention of leaving sooo.....

 
Been folding for the [H]orde off and on for little over 4 years. Memory is a little fuzzy,
but seems like I have been participating in DC projects for 11 years. Started with the RSA
challenges of breaking their encryption years ago.

Axdrenalin and I both started 2-3-08, and he mowed me over pretty quick.

I had contributed to the UD project, but I don't even remember what my user name was now.

Yeah, I joined about the same time as you did, worst company I ever fell in with. You, CIWS, relic, KillerMob, King, gaiden, Cabletwin and a few other socially defective people:rolleyes:;)

 
ya now that you mention it it had to be earlier than 04 becuase i remember borging my Dual PII 333mhz machine with two console clients and it meeting deadlines lol
 
1/1/04 is the earliest date EOC will say. It doesn't know about anything before then, so if you started before that, that's what it will say for you.
 
About a week now. I think.

That's not counting the few hours I spent messing around with the client when I got my PS3.

It was a bit earlier than '04 because I distinctly remember you announcing your future planned work borgs on this forum, so it must have been sometime during the 2H '03 shortly before I stopped my second stint at F@H. Unless, I have you confused with someone else but did you mention this to Kyle directly at the time?

As for myself, I joined when Kyle first announced F@H on the front page news section. Can't recall precisely when that was but probably early '01. This is my third run at F@H.

ya but my work borgs were waaayyy after i started folding... i started folding while i was in high school :)
