Asking Futuremark for my money back!

FYI - I have sent Futuremark an email asking for my money back..

I stated the problem I have with the program:

A) I select 1920 x 1200 for my res, but only the first two tests run at my desired res. All other revert back to low res. Don't pretend your program supports 1920 x 1200 if is only does on only 2 of the 10 tests! 20% is so SAD!!

B) I paid for this program, but still continue to get commershals... Unexcaptable!

C) No demo mode, and no sound.

D) Graphics look blockey and dated.

F) Runs bad, and stutters allot. A GX2 should be able to run this bench with a quad at 3.47GHz.

G) AKA not worth the price of admission, and gave them my registration number, and asked for my $20 spot back!

I encourage more to do the same...

I have not received a responce so far!
 
Yes, I've asked for a refund as well. 3D Mark is so glitchy I can't even get to the next level. I want to fight the boss!

Would anyone happen to have any cheat codes...?

(I rate this thread a nine out of a possible ten, by the way. It's awesome)

You won't get a refund. You could have tried it out for free first. Just sell your code at a discount to some other sucker. :p
 
It's funny how often this happens.

Someone wants to make a point or statement. Sometimes it may even be an important/and or helpful point. But instead the OP shreds his own credibilty or rather diverts attention elsewhere through horrific treatment of the english language.

I usually don't let it bother me too much because I give the OP the benefit of the doubt and assume they're posting from some hovel in Mongolia where English is not the first language.

Talk about off-topic. If you want to debate spelling errors and grammar, please, look at some form of elementary forum, I'm sure the kids there will take a liking to your kind. It's not nice telling grown folk' that their credibility is shattered due to their grammar or spelling, this is a red flag that shows you don't socialize much outside of forums right? I wonder if you correct everyone you meet, even your friends, family members, girlfriend, strangers, managers......I'd hate to see how disfigured your face is.
 
Wow, someone's ridiculously over-the-top defensive today.

Now, how on Earth do you make the leap that someone who corrects someone else's grammar on a forum is physically disfigured?

Toms rips it a new one too.. This will probably be the death of Futuremark as a Benchmark maker..

I remember Future Crew's Demos back in the 286 and 386 days, those were the "the shit", through and through..

I cannot spellz vary good, but eye wantz money back that i pied for ur programz. I have very large calcuputer that mummy spendz all her money to buy and i wnat binchmark that it run very well so large scroez impresses mrs. Wlikerson's 4th grade homewroom class.

How about that you now don't receive a score unless you have an internet connection.

That is a new feature they have just added...

I guess it makes it easier for me to receive messages to buy Crysis and Assassins Creed?

No big deal to me, but I wonder if the boys ording on CD, and not downloading, understand that they will never receive a score withought an internet connection. I question the call.

I don't expect to get my money back, but rather sending them a message.

With my free version of 3DMark06 that came with my Maximus, I could select demo at 1920 x 1200, and enjoy the eyecandy with actual sound. It did show off the computer's speed, and was a favorite to fire up when a friend poped in, and just wanted to see something quick, but didn't want to play a game.

The entire demo ran at 1920 x 1200.

With the new version, it's slow, if you use the default settings blocky looking dudes for sure, and smaller on the screen with huge black borders. Looks odd, and not a good one to fire up for many occasions that I can think of...

It makes Crysis speedy looking at 1920 x 1200, on the two tests that actually run at that res.

Can't they make a benchmark that actually runs decent, looks killer, and still give us their number that we all hold in such high reguard?

A demo with sound did add allot to the entertainment factor too.

Its as if they are paid to spell check for everybody else. I can't fucking understand it. If there is a person who is being a grammer nazi, and spells something improperly himself, i will rip him a new one. BUT THE WHOLE WORLD DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, if people cant fucking type properly let them be, its not like the world is going to end.
 
So What you are saying TalonMan, and I think this echos a lot of people, is that you want a high end DEMO, no so much a benchmark? You are willing to pay for something that will show off Maximum Eye-Candy?
 
Why would someone pay for something like this; it isn't even a game.

Believe me, if this is something that'll help you get laid, than that's money well spent. But it won't.
 
He means advertisements, i.e. the program is filled with ads, EVEN after you pay.

Also, he may not be able to sell his code to someone else. The EULA may prevent it (like steam does with games like hl2), or it may be locked to a single computer.

Yes I am, and frequently select my games that way.

I just wanted 20 bucks worth of DirectX 10 eye candy that actually ran decent on a GX2 and Quad processor... (With sound option)

I guess I shot too high...

At 1920 x 1200 high settings, it's more like a silent slideshow. The 8 remaing tests look pitifull and small on a 24" FPD.

I do like the score too, but understand it's not the end all be all performance indicator, that always scores the faster system higher.
 
You're better off spending money on Crysis if you wanted some good eye candy that you could actually play.

CPU tests arent supposed to run at a high resolution. The rest of your points are absurd. Why should your gx2 run better? Why should they charge what you want?
