That is a headless LAMP server I put togather to serve up my blog (not the one in the sig) and so I could do torrenting from anywhere with an internet connection.

The innards are: 800mhz PIII ,512mb PC133, Asus Cuwe-fx , 80GB hard drive , 20x DVD-RW the only thing IBM about it is the Netvista S40 Flex Atx case it's in. WHen I put it togather 3 months ago it cost me about $60 to build and has paid for itself many times over .

you know, I was thinking about getting a tower when the fan on my galaxy 8800gt was too tall for my old QPack... the grass is always greener I suppose.

Thnx for all the compliments, regarding the temps, according to speedfan I am running at 42° to 44° celcius, with an ambient case temp of 32°c and 29°c for the HD which is mounted in the lower 5.25" bay.

The monitor is a 22" Acer model # AL2223W which I got for like $185 on sale at BestBuy. The base could be nicer but I am very satisfied with the panel itself... thnx to [H] for the heads up on that one. I was in the process of finishing a box for my girlfriend, er, fiance with some spare parts, so she got my old sony 17" lcd. Her rig is an AOpen EZ482 with an x2 3800+, 1GB kingston DDR400, and a 250GB HD. Got it on sale at newegg for $150, and I think the HD was $75 at the time. Everything else was left over from my last round of upgrades:

Its a Dell Lattitude D630 with 2Ghz Core2duo, 2GB RAM, 80GB drive, some kinda workstation class nVidia Quadro integrated graphics, 14.1" widescreen. Its not bad for what it is...

Horrible little 14" TV, soon to be replaced and thrown in the bin. Honestly, I hate having to use this thing with a passion, and I did have a much bigger TV, but the corner of the room it's in is too small for a large CRT TV. We have a 42" LG LCD in our living room, but I barely ever get to use it, due to parents and British soap operas.

That cable management is unreal. In fact the whole setup is too clean. Even the wallpaper is all serene. You aren't a serial killer are you?

My OCD side comes out when it comes to my room. Everything is always neat and tidy. I spend a lot of time in my room doing school work, business, watching movies/tv, browsing the internet so I like to keep things organized

I wonder whether you keep you body disposable tools neat and tidy as well? I guess that would explain why you haven't been caught.

EDIT: If I'm right, I went to USNA for Crew Camp, got in for rowing, but decided to go to Maryland instead. I grew up literally down the street in Davidsonville, we hosted a few midshipmen too

Not anymore. If I wouldn't have left to pursue my degree in Criminal Justice, then I would be a senior there right now...but I left as a sophomore and transferred to my school as a Senior....that was awesome..LOL

I can take some more tomorrow if you'd like. I'll try and post them in the morning in this thread. Not much else to see, a bed, dresser, and some posters on the walls. More pics tomorrow..

I stuck a cable clam thingy to the desk to hold all the excess mouse cord and keep it from slipping off the back off the desk...

Here's my not-so-clean case interior... I just removed the hard drive cage for better airflow and I'm planning to do a few more mods, one being a window... well sort of... I got a neat idea... anyway...

I am going to try to get a better camera one of these days... and I will post better pics then.
I'm going to change several things in the next few days... and I need to put something on the walls, they're too bare... but I'm still in the process of cleaning and rearranging our house.
 
Nice apple box collection lol, What would macgyver do? Wipe his ass with his tube socks or better yet his bare hands.
 
Here're a few pictures of my old and new set-up. I liked my old set-up a lot better but I got rid of some other furniture so I had to pile on a lot more gear. The only thing better is that I removed the cold cathode in my computer but unfortunately I managed to break the circle mounted light somehow. Still waiting on a new monitor and still waiting to get my Singlepower MPX3 headphone amp fixed. :( BTW sorry about the picture quality, I was also too lazy to switch lenses and shoot this on my normal cam.
