The video of the day has to be this one. A group of people take an uncut pizza, stick it on a huge laser cutting machine and in just a few minutes they have fresh laser-cut pizza. They should make this a weekly feature and find different stuff they can cut up with the laser.

Two passes, and it STILL doesn't separate? A for effort, but EPIC FAIL for implementation.

as soon as they make the laser cutter hand-held, I'm getting me one ;)

should have slowed down the laser so it could penetrate the crust! these guys are supposed to be professionals!

That's about as stupid as hell! :p

It is worse than Stupid, It's a wasteful use of electricity, A good pizza knife will do the job better(Like a Pro) and does not waste any energy or contribute to Global Warming any.

Alarmist much? Turn off your computer, you're wasting energy typing drivel in an otherwise fun place.

Bet that was real tasty and nice-smelling. Like skin and fat under cautery.

If the edges weren't carbonized, then they'd melt back together like an ice cube cut by a weighted wire.

I would like a nice sturdy cutting board like the substrate.

That's one badass toy, but that can't have smelled good.

LOLz!

I don't know about a weekly thing... "Will it lazer-cut" just doesn't have the ring of "Will it blend"

Any time you can work lasers, NO2, etc into your food preparation...awesome.

I still can't find anything that will make a pizza not still stick together.

At least they saved me the effort of trying a laser. :) I think the first thing we need to do when aliens make public contact is to present them with a pizza and see if they can cut it. Otherwise I think when the apocolypse comes I'll see if the 4 horsemen could have a crack at it.

So they spend $30 on energy and who knows how much on technology, to cut a $5 (or less) pizza.

lol, typical engineer.

I'll take a pizza cutter for $3 alex.

LOL...funny thread first thing in the morning.

The heat is melting the cheese together again.

As for explosives to "cut the pizza"...how about primer cord? That would work better, no?

And if I was going to go through the effort of cutting a pizza with a laser, the least you could do is get a pizza that looks like it's worth eating...that thing just looked like crap!
