I have this error quite a few times now, I flashed the BIOS, I didnt use the windows just flashed it directly from the BIOS used a USB...so anyway, i only OC'd once but that was just like 3-4 weeks ago just to test how high it can go up w/stock volts I was able to reach 3.0ghz without problems and torture tested...anyway right now Im @ 0411 coming from 0311, because even at 0311 it had the same error so i tried flashing it and still the same...

Clear your CMOS and the error will go away. You get that when you try to change a setting and it won't boot with that setting. It sets it back to default in order to boot, but it still doesn't change the setting back. Usually I get an error like that when I'm playing around with voltage and FSB settings.

oh i forgot to mention, cleared it several times.. and discharged everything too...still the same..

Are you flashing the right bios? There are several versions of the P5K. Make sure you're getting the one for the Deluxe. I would think it wouldn't flash if you were using the wrong one, but they are probably very similar.

yes I flashed with the right BIOS, it was on the website, unless asus is support so f$%k up!!! that they screwed the BIOS compatibility...

What 411?

I thought the latest was 0404?
sorry i meant 311 i even tried 404 but with no luck I literally have to do a clear CMOS everytime i boot-up!!! twice is enough for me already...

so I returned it and got a Gigabyte P35-DQ6, i have the Gigabyte sitting in my room now waiting for the price drop on Q6600 to have my machine running again, and i hope problems would be minimal as this is a new chipset so some hiccups would be understable...

You may enter the BIOS setup utiliy,
and find the "JumperFree configuration" in the "advance" menu,
then set the "AI overclocking" to manual or stardard.
