.......I mean it definitely looked 8-bit......
I wish they would lower the prices on these games. $8 is hard for me to spend on a 10+ year old SNES game.
I think perhaps a 5-10 minute time limit, or the first level or two as a demo would be better that dropping the price. I mean, a lot of these games at their current price only appeal to people who played them and loved them when they originally came out. I think people would feel more secure in plopping down $5-10 if they had a chance to try it out first. As it stands I think people avoid buying for the completely legitimate fear that they'll lose interest immediately and have wasted the money.
In other words if you don't like the prices don't bitch, just don't buy the games.

Companies do hire people who are tasked to find opinions of people on various subjects. Lots of times they will look on internet message boards to find out what the general public is thinking. If they see an overwhelming number of people who say they would pay 5$ but not 8$ who knows, they might just listen and decide to change the price. Its doubtful but stranger things have happened.
I bet one of the main reasons why MS upgraded the 360 warranty was all of the talk on the internet about the failing 360s and the horrible warranty. The internet was also likely the main driving factor behind Nintendo offering replacement straps.
In other words, if you dont like people bitching about the price, dont read the thread instead of bitching to them about bitching about the price.
How about we all just play our favorite classics in our web browsers, completely free of charge.

because its illegal
Well there was a court ruling recently which made it sort of kind of legal to go through other means to get something which is no longer being made or available for purchase through reasonable means. Unfortunately it isn't very specific on the matter of abandonware, or what constitutes readily available.

It's inconcievable to think that someone would ever purchase every single title that exists for all the consoles on VC
That is actually an impossibility due to the storage capacity for virtual console games on the wii. It is a limited space, and sadly enough you can't transfer them onto an SD memory card.
I'm not surprised at that limitation, because obviously it would make it very easy for people to transfer games over the internet............but I digress. The other unfortunate reality with that is if your wii ever requires replacement, you lose your games.....period.
yeah wondering about the replacement policy too. I haven't bought any VC games yet but i have 2000 unspent points on my wii and it has problems if i leave standby mode turned on (doesn't go into standby and eventually crashes) so I don't know if it's worth replacing or just leave standby mode turned off.
what does standby mode do?
what's the difference between that.. and having wii 24 connect on..?
