Ill just Re-open this old threat.
Just purchased this New and had found a point of failure in less than a week. I already ordered the replacement but thought I would post my trouble as others might have the same issue.
At first everything worked great, after about a week i noticed issues with...
1.186 is an average number for a 3.6 o.c. for those that bother to find the lowest operating voltage.
I have not noticed any effect from raising or lowers the cpu pll, But from what i understand its mostly used to achieve.stabilize highier base clock 200+.
Raising it has zero effect on...
I have read conflicting articles about cpu pll, some say lower is better. I ran it at 1.4 and see no change in performance or heat. I met u half way with your advice and bumped it up to 1.86, can't hurt i suppose.
Im starting to think my overclock is fine, game rubber bands while my...
Hi, im running an overclock that passes intelburntest fine, but i am experiencing a rubberband effect in BF3/teleporting units. I'm hoping its just because i only have 4gb of ram and its accessing my pagefile too often.
But to rule out my overclock ide like you guys to check these settings...
I never really thought i needed it to be honest. But now that i am using it, man is it awesome. Yes i download alot of torrents and stream media through the network off my pc. This gamefirst software effectivley throttles all that activity so i don't see a negative impact in games.
Its...
I recently install this traffic shaping utility exclusivly made for asus MB's. The idea behind it is to prioritize network traffic so you can play games uninterrupted.
Options included not just internet traffic but local network traffic ass well. I have never really messed with this...
Interesting you accuse me of trolling, yet I don't believe you have mentioned anything about write-cache, that is the thread topic. You bypassed the first post and try to involve yourself with a post that was furthest from the topic at hand. Correct me if i am wrong but is that not the...
Thank you for letting me know i need a English lesson. I was merely giving you a reading comprehension lesson, works both ways doesn't it?
I think you should probably stick to the topic at hand, you are analyzing a post that was not meant for you to reply to. Do you think that is why you have...
What do you think i was asking? If you read the article my questions are about crystaldiskmark. My system specs should not be of any importance to the questions posed..
If you would read how the sentence in the qoute is worded, it is clearly past tense and not posed as a question
"I was"...
I doubt it, Unless you consider me wanting new video cards promotional
As for my system specs, here is a link http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/11/23/asus_rampage_iii_formula_motherboard_review/4
My specs match test hardware here.
Well i run 50 mb tests for a couple reasons. One being 90% of the files on a computer are usually under 50 mb. The second reason is that most subsystem HD testing performed by HARDforums review in crystaldiskmark is 50mb or 100mb.
I was looking to compare my Raid performance with a system with...
For my next question,
What espect of crystaldisk mark will offer my more performance under normal use for gaming ,apps and video encoding, The 50 mb test or the 1000mb?
I do notice a small dip in performance with write cache enabled on the 1000mb test in both read and write. As for the 50 mb...
report this guy for being a retard. Again you fail to mention how many drives you run and what type.
If you have no useful viable information besides a benchmark. You obviously run more then two drives, 8 or more? and if you know anything about raid your read and write increases with the...
I dont run SSD's bro and if you don't run ssd how many drives are in your raid 5? It cant be only two drives... i would have to call bs
Why don't you troll somewhere else? you compare your raid to mine, yet you run a different raid all together with hardware you fail to mention.
This thread...
Just enabled write cashe on a two drive raid 0<disabled is default>, here are the results on crystal disk mark. Looks like the Write speed was improved significantly and the majority of the read speeds as well except sequential read.
Enabled-
Disabled
I have already switched to ICH10R, Despite what you would think, there is no loss of speed Quite the opposite. By switching to the intel controller i now average over 100mbps FASTER reads over a 1/3 increase in performance over the marvell controller. Here is my motherboard reviewed by HARD ...
I don't believe that the marvell controller is even capable of offering the speeds EVEN if your drives could saturate it.
I'll tell you why, First lets talk about how the marvell controller transfers data. Marvell uses your PCIE-1X lane, separate from the intel chip-set. Look at this link...
I was running my Raid on Marvell 6gb controller and experienced several problems. For starters.
1.Slow Raid speed
2. System instability
3 Realtek audio conflict
4 Random BRRrrrrrr Sounds
5.Certain old driver installs BSOD
The BRRrrr sound was solved by disabling realtek and installing...
I have noticed when you try to land the jet out of boundary the terran even though it appears smooth your jet can literaly be stuck on it, i guess that is why the maps are not bigger, because of the inability to create a surface that acts like it looks.
you didn't get it on sale for 45$? you got ripped off bro. Most pre-orders were sold at a discount. Only us non pre-order suckers had to pay the full price.
The vote is about disappointing games, I never played Dead island because nothing stood out for me in that game. Kinda hard to be disappointed with a game when you already have such low expectations of it, ya know?
Battlefield 3 is simply held to a higher standard, I have played roughly...
+1 not that the game is the worst game of 2011, but after factoring in expectations the disappointment factor takes the cake. Feels like i am still playing a beta, I don't like paying for beta's.
Ive noticed the game has major memory leaks still, if you only have 4gb you might be reaching your max without realizing it. There are ways around this, like using a program called memory fox which was initially designed for firefox memory leaks but can be applied to all running processes...
Naaa lets blame EA. I mean seriously? who releases a expansion a month after a games official release? Seems like a marketing scam to me. Considering how few maps there are in the original release, this so called "expansion pack" should of been included with the game. Your argument is "well...
Ya but you are forgetting server side problems with the game as well, considering you don't pay for SC2 servers. apples and oranges bro. sure the server side issues are being resolved... but LOTS of money was wasted in the meantime with servers being left unpopulated unless u had a huge clan...
i never played wow, but as far as sc2 comparing it to bf3 bugs is plain criminal lol. I have friend that purchased the expansion and they still cant play it. "missing game content", I have never had a game that was unplayable at launch. and bf3 was pretty much that way <better with the...
I paid 60 bucks for the game and it was not the limited edition, Considering how many crashes and bugs that is plagued with this game it was not worth it. For those that say "hey the game is new, what do you expect?" Well you are obviously used to EA games.. because typically game developers...
I know this is a old post but i figured out why you couldn't flash them to the same bios,
U have to use this command 2. nvflash -p -u -r -j file.rom [Enter]
(Different model card, removes eeprom protection, using different firmware)
Its just i know what not enough voltage looks like with these cards, and thats not it. He can try it but i know it wont work. A faulty psu would be more likely, or a faulty power cable.
Voltage wont fix his problem, Different kind of artifacting and he would be experiencing at least some kind of display driver crashes if the voltage was so low to cause that kind of problem.
I would try underclocking them, its possible your psu is not up to par but not likely.
My next suggestion was going to be to examine the slot itself for dust or hair, which could cause a bad contact, but if it runs fine solo in the slot that shouldn't be the problem.
I had a card that would run "ok" solo but when i SLI'd it something went wrong,Lock up&artifacts not recognizing...
Mine registers the same in gpu-z one is 2.0 other is not. So maybe that's a good sign? laugh. These cards are supposed to be the same, you would think the bios would be inter compatible.... shrug. The flash did work, it just changed your device id... might be some kind of anti hack...
