Yesterday they had the XFX 5850 for 259.99. Today it's jumped to 299.99. Thanks ZZF. DEF not getting a 5 series card now
 
Don't see why this makes them bastards. Buy it from someone else if you don't like the price.
 
See, I knew there was a chance that this was just the no-stock-only price and that it was possible that the price would creep back up to the original MSRP if that was the case. :p

In any case, I see the previous 5850 price as a bit of a red herring. ZZF was the only place advertising that price and 5850s at all.
 
I've only bought something with them once and had to call in about a problem and they were not very friendly.

Wont do business with them again. Saving a few bucks with them isn't worth poor customer service.

I haven't ordered from them in a while but I never had to deal with their customer service. As far as shipping goes it was always fast and the hard drives were well packed. Had way too many drives from newegg doa from how they use to pack them. ZZF did a much better job.
 
I avoid ZZF when I can. There site setup is horrible and they are frequently saying things are in stock when they aren't. Just bought some Sennheiser PMX80's from them and it was processed the same way. I only buy from them if they have a really good deal on something
 
Customer service is everything. If it's only a matter of a few bucks, I go with Newegg. I ordered a video card, lost the Batman AA coupon, and they sent me another one free of charge and told me to keep the original if I found it. Couple weeks later, I bought a grand's worth of merchandise from them.
 
ZZF does suck. They do the pull you in routine with IN STOCK then once you order, oh its on BACK ORDER. They used to be ok. They really have gone down hill. I ended up getting lucky today and good old newegg had the XFX in stock finally and I got it from them and it was $20 cheaper. I should have it monday...
 
Just wait until the horde of brainless e-penis fanatics stop breaking their piggy banks and price should be normalized in a month or so.
 
Don't order from ZZF, I did for my 5870 and it will be my last order with them ever. Horrible company.

Couldnt have said it better myself, They stated that the 5870 cards were in stock when in fact they were on back order. I will never order from them again.

Heck, I know I can't afford it, but I'm glad someone can!
 
On the plus side, Newegg has been fairly kind and left the 5870 at the MSRP of $379.99, so if anything I think there's a good chance that they'll have 5850s at $259.99 once they come out.

Zomg, ZZF screwed me over again. This time by shipping the card yesterday before I could cancel rofl. Now I am stuck with 5870 Crossfire! :/

I made a worse move by ordering on the egg and planning to cancel my order with ZZF... now I'm broke and have 3 of them coming...

Well yea, that is what happened to me but I didn't order two from anyone just one from the egg and one from zzf. I had just been on the phone with them like 2 hours before the order shipped according to the tracking and they said they weren't getting anything until the 29th.
 
One store raised its prices to take advantage of high demand so you're not buying any 58xx card? What?

Well my order still shows to be packed at ZZF. I already told me them to cancel my order and I ordered from the egg. Never again will I deal with ZZF.

i'm tempted to get 5870 but ill see what nvidia come up with

I, like many others, can afford it but we aren't running to the store nor refreshing a page every 2 minutes to get one. Like a retarded child running to the ice cream truck.

sell the extra one.. problem solved.. or enjoy triple crossfire which the 5870 supports if you have a motherboard that can do it.. :p
