So this card is great!

I do have a question tho. On every game I max the graphics out and the max temp the card ever gets to is 60c.

Now the other day I downloaded Star Citizen which I know is still in alpha but the card shoots up to 78c in a few minutes and my processor which usually runs at 40c on maxed out games runs at 50c. I'm not worried about the processor which is an i5 4460 but the graphics card sounded loud and 78c seems hot to me?

Is 78c hot? Not sure if I should worry about running the card at those temps for as long as I play around in Star Citizen. I'm guessing since it's in Alpha is why it's killing the temps?

I do not overclock anything and I build this pc a few weeks ago with no issues.

Thanks for any helpful information!

One thing I can do in the software that came with the GPU is lower the default temp setting. Right now the default is set to 79c. If I set that lower like to 70c the card stays at that temp but it shows it's not using it's full power is what it looks like but the game doesn't seem to loose any FPS.

Ok so I have another question.

My card ran any game on ultra at 60c. BF4, Far Cry 4 whatever.

But I installed the Star Citizen Alpha and now every time I play a game I can here the fans spinning hard and the card is in the mid 70s range.

I don't understand what happened to the card?

Now I'm seeing when I watch 4k video on youtube is slow and choppy and my CPU which is a i5 4460 is running almost at 100%. It did not do this before.

Not sure what is happening but it's staring to piss me off.

4k video has always ran smooth on this computer. I've only had it for 3 weeks. I just built it.

I just made an adjustment to kick the fan speed up around 65 instead of the 79 it was set at stock. As far as the other issues.. no clue.. I would uninstall that star citizen and try reinstalling video drivers.
