Zotac 980Ti AMP Omega $399.99 no rebate @ Newegg

Values are dropping but its still a heck of a lot of card for 4 bills.

Almost bought this one but thought the 1070 was better for $40 more.

I went through the same thinking. Believe me, I flip flopped for several weeks over it. In the end I've decided I will no longer be an early adopter. IMO the biggest thing 1070 offers over a 980Ti is a fairly substantial power savings and maybe a better VR experience (big MAYBE) - neither of which I give a shit about at this time.

After the holidays when the 1070's (hopefully) arent overpriced, and more available. When the drivers and the tech has matured and had bugs ironed out. When any hidden flaws or limitations (970 'memorygate' anyone?) have been revealed. When the AIB's offer something more substantial to me than bright neon RGB's in a million colors... I'll then be glad to consider a 1070.
Hell by then the 1080Ti will probably suddenly appear and the 1080's will be discounted.

Thanks for the heads up OP. Found this open box at Amazon for $350!

I was just about to bite on this card. Had it in the cart and was about to enter CC information when I thought I'd look to see if there were any 1070's in stock.

Checked Amazon and they had one from Gigabyte that's in stock on the 10th for just $30 more than this 980 Ti.

Hope I made the right choice!

could you happen to link it? i would be very intrested

Just look at the "Used" section for any card on Amazon, sometimes they sell stuff that was returned and then discount it. I'm sure the $350 one is gone now, but sometimes you can find stuff for $50+ off due to repackaging or minor cosmetic imperfections.

i just got mine today and so far im enjoying it it was a good upgrade from my overclocked s7000
