Hey, I was planning on getting a new mouse for my fragging pleasure but don't know if it's worth $50. I've got a Microsoft Optical Mouse (black) the standard one now. And was wondering if getting the logitech MX510 Performance would be worth it..I game alot ;)

oh yea! thats a great mouse. i have the mx700 and this thing works wonderfully with gaming. even though it is wireless there is no lag what so ever. hardocp and toms/ hardware guide did a review on the mx700 and they only showed the response timings to be off by such a little amount from wired mice that they consider it withing the margin of error. back to topic now... the mx series mice are wonderful for anything and everything. their response rate is top notch. their quality is awesome. their sensitivity is great. if i rated this mouse id give it a 9/10 because it gives everything that a mouse should be. its comfy on the hands IMO. it looks cool to boot. the feet of the mice are very slick on most surfaces. the buttons are easy to push. i cant say anything bad about the mx series mice at all.

PS: ill never go back to a microsoft mouse ever again.

I was using an MX300 for a while then I recently got a blue MX510. At first, it felt a little weird because of the design, but after like 3 days of using my computer, I got used to it. Best mouse for gaming IMO. I love the extra buttons. The Logitech drivers/software makes all the buttons on my mouse programmable in games. Well worth the $50 if you game a lot.

the reason why i didnt give it a 10 is because its wired. i dont like wires. i wouldnt give the mx700 a 10 either because of the battery life. the batteries only last for about 3 days without a recharge. the mx700 does come with 2 AA rechargeable batteries though.
