It is odd to see a company like Ziff Davis, that once sold for $2 billion dollars, be broken into pieces and sold for a fraction of that.
For the sake of argument, Is it just me or do all these deals like this (ala AOL, ZD, etc.) where companies that went for billions at some point end up going for peanuts later? Makes you wonder .
For the current bust-up, the company is being split into the gaming group, which includes video gaming magazines and Web sites, and the enterprise division, which includes PC Magazine - once the biggest magazine tracked by the Publishers Information Bureau in terms of ad pages.
