My hardware is as follows:
HP ProLiant Micro server
Athlon II Neo 1.3GHZ (Dual Core)
4GB DDR3 Ram
4x 1TB Samsung F3 drives
On-board Broadcom 1GB PCI-E Nic
Software I am using an un-tweaked Nexenta CE 3.0.5 install. I am accessing through CIFS which on read, give me a steady 100MB/S solid. When writting, I am getting only 70-80MB/s but the network graph is all over the place bouncing between 10-99%
The workstation that I am accessing the NAS from is a new Sandybridge build with a dedicated Intel GT 1000 PCI-Express nic and a 1GBit Trednet switch(the one that was on sale at amazon a few months back.) Jumbo Frames are not enabled at this moment. Any tips to get the write speeds stable like the read speeds?
