1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Dual Boot Windows 8 (when available) and Openindiana
Will run Adobe CS6 casually and if possible within budget run Solidworks / AutoCAD suite (3D included). Casual gaming such as OpenTTD.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Negotiable. Hopefully stay around $500. This is not firm if its worth it to spend more money buy all means suggest it. Tax and shipping are hopefully included.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Ontario, Canada

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Graphics Card (previous 8800GTX has broken) needs to be small form factor to fit in case.
2x3TB hard drives.

A Generic Case.

Gigabyte P35-DS3L
4GB Corsair DDR2 Memory
Intel Q6600

4 Old various sized WD Green Hard Drives (1x1TB, 1x1.5TB, 2x2TB)
Generic DVD Burner.

6) Will you be overclocking?
No.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1400x900 19" but this is not firm, may be purchasing larger one in future.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP (less than one week)

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Already have a motherboard.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes (windows 7 64bit), Windows 8 isn't out yet and Openindiana is free.

overall I need to increase my storage and replace my graphics card.

Give us more details on the "generic" case. How many hard drives can it support? How many (and what type of) case fans does it use? How long of a video card can it (reasonably) support? Is the case shaped like a tower, or more like a shoebox? (Could you provide any pictures of said case?)

Is the "generic" DVD burner SATA or IDE?

Case officially supports 5 but I have 7 in it currently using the two floppy areas. DVD burner is Sata. Forgot to mention earlier I have a 160gb Sata drive to use as OS drive. I'm currently away from the case but it is a tower case. It could reasonably support a video card 1/2" shorter than the width of an ATX board (from memory). If you require a picture I can post 1 in ~20 hours. Case fans: 1x70mm intake at back and 1x50mm outtake on side parallel to processor fan.

So you're looking at spending $180 on a GPU and 4port SATA JBOD card?

Seems about right. I haven't been keeping up with technology lately. I also don't need it to be over the top either. If what I'm looking for can be had for cheaper than that would be good too. Also, comparability with openindiana is important as well. I'm not sure whether my parts I am reusing are comparable.

I apologize for the bad typing and formatting as I'm trying to do it on an iPhone.
