hi all .. im running periodic snapshots on a solaris 11 express server, using the timeslide service.

currently i can "browse" snapshots via the nautilus manager in the server console.

id like to access the snapshot remotely via transmit (sftp client) ... the .zfs/snapshot is not visible, but i can "go" to the folder .zfs/snapshot ... problem is .. its empty, no snapshots are present

on the other hand, i can access the snapshots via ssh, manually browsing via cli

is it possible to remotely browse the snapshots ?

Yes
.zfs/shanpshot is just a hidden folder.
Beside CLI you can browse via midnight commander (ssh, putty) or simpliy
share as SMB, connect as root and browser via Windows previous version
