I just bought an Apple iPod Photo (30GB) and I love just about everything about it except for one major issue. The battery life, which was advertised at 15hrs, died on me during an 8 hour work day. This annoyed me more than you could possibly imagine. I am contemplating getting rid of it, however, I need one question answered before I make my decision.

Honestly the main reason I got my iPod Photo is because I'll be able to use it as a portable storage device for my photos when I get my Canon Digital Rebel later this summer (with the camera connector). Is there anything that will allow me to transfer photos from my camera to a Zen Touch (or similar player) [I know I won't be able to see them right away but that's not important since digital cameras have LCDs anyway].

If you just bought it then the battery isn't worn in. You'll need to drain it and fully recharge it a few times before you get optimal battery life. I'd say about 3-4 times before you get the most from it, maybe more.
