Zalmon 9500 Upside Down?

Hey guys, I'm putting this cooler in a Lian Li V1000, but the motherboard is mounted upside down in this case. Will this cooler be okay? I heard somewhere it's bad for heatsink to mount in upside down direction.

The mounting of the sink allows for it to face any direction you want, so motherboard orientation is not an issue.

Doesn't matter. My brother runs this case setup and it's been running fine for the last year.

i think he is more concerned with the size of the hsf and it proximity to the bottom of the case.

i have the 9500, and i am pretty sure that mine would not fit if it was in the opposite direction, even in my full tower case

in the case with the v1000, it looks like there isnt enough space between the socket and that bottom separator.

here is a pic of the zalman in my case and it shows how much it protrudes beyond the motherboard (ignore the arrows, they were for a diff thread)
