Zalman?

These are still well performing coolers, surprisingly, Compusa is selling them now for a few dollars less than that. For extracting the highest performance on air, everyone seems to be recommending the thermalright XP120 or XP90C (same as xp90 but all cooper)
 
They've always been good choices for the price. An alternative is the Thermalright XP-90 with a low-speed Panaflo, but that costs significantly more money. The 7700 is just too big and heavy for me to put in any semi-mobile case. The 7000B-Cu is where it's at.
 
Yes, the zalmans are fairly highly renowned for good performance and silence. One could argue that the Thermalright xp120 has better performance depending on what fan is used with it. But in general, yes, both of them are excellent coolers
